Jill and Paul Johnson, the owners of the store, have worked in this industry for several years. Paul has been a bench jeweler, someone that works with gold and silver, for over 32 years. Jill has been in jewelry retail for 31 years.We have been in business for 18 years in derby, 16 years at this location. Derby Jewelry has many suppliers that they order from, they tend not to carry a lot of stock

simply because they know their customers are looking for something specific, or simply want something different from the basic models mall stores offer. Derby Jewelry has great connections with their suppliers, in order to get anything they need shipped next day. All manufacturers of mountings they use are made in the USA. They offer many services, such as casting new pieces from gold you bring in, purchasing empty mountings for your loose stones, or creating a whole new piece, mountings, stones, and all, to fit your budget and style. All jewelry repairs are done in house and in a timely manner.

Wanted to let everyone know the shop is closed today tuesday the 3rd, possible tomorrow also. Paul is sick with this stuff that is affecting everyone, hopefully he will feel better tomorrow .If you have any questions, you can message me on facebook and I will get you an answer. Over the last couple of weeks several customers have asked me about seeing posts on Facebook that we are retiring. We have no plans to retire for the foreseeable future of course as long as our health allows. Jill works 2-3 days a week between 10:30 and 3 She is an invaluable person in this business and if you are wanting to get with her about a gift call in and we will accommodate. I will definitely continue to take Sunday and Monday off. ( I promised my wife ). Thanks everyone and have a good weekend Jill & Paul
