People ask how we got into the Antiques Business. This is a prime example…we go to estate sales and find things that spark an interest. Take this ceramic piece we got a few years ago. We liked the colors the textures and bought it to display in a window. Turns out that it is a signed piece of Gail Markewicz pottery worth at minimum $400. You can find things you love and when done with them sell them at a profit. Now you know.

“DONT TAKE ANY WOODEN NICKLES!” I heard this growing up from my parents and couldn’t comprehend it until I finally found some. Always thought it meant, “Don’t fall for any scams!” We have three authentic wooden nickles for sale. One is a Salvation Army Attendance for $6. One is a Bicentennial Herkimer for $7 and the last is an Ice Caves Mountain wooden nickle from Ellenville, NY for $13. At a raise of value of as much as 260 times, seems less like a scam and more of a good investment.
