Hello family and friends!

Let's settle something. 😂

You're walking along the beach and spot ONE really good find.

🦈 Shark tooth
🐚 Perfect shell
🪨 Weird/beautiful rock
🪵 Piece of driftwood
🦴 Something you think might be a fossil

Which one are you stopping for?

I'm curious what kind of treasure hunter y'all are. 👀

Here's one of my favorite finds below. A large green marble known as a Vacor "Fungus" glass marble manufacturered by Vacor de Mexico.

🍂 Did you collect little treasures as a kid? 🪶

Leaves. Acorns. Feathers. Pretty rocks. Shells. Sticks. Anything that caught your eye and felt too special to leave behind.

I swear some of us were born treasure hunters. 😂

I can remember picking up little things like that and saving them because they were beautiful to me—even when nobody else understood why I needed to bring that particular rock or feather home. ❤️

And honestly… I guess I never really outgrew it. 😉
Tell me what YOU used to collect!

🍂 Leaves
🪨 Rocks
🦕 fossils
🪶 Feathers
🐚 Shells
🌰 Acorns
🌿 Sticks
✨ Or something completely different?

Bonus points if you still pick things up when you're out walking today. 😂👇

Where Stone Meets Soul. 🖤
Did you know that before humans invented writing, agriculture, or cities… we made beads? 🐚✨

Archaeologists discovered tiny sea snail shells inside Bizmoune Cave in Morocco that date back nearly 150,000 years. These shells were carefully bored with holes so they could be strung together and worn.

Think about that.

Long before cities, jewelry stores, or jewelry-making tools, humans had the instinct to take something from the earth, shape it by hand, and wear it to tell a story.

That absolutely fascinates me.

It means that every time I select a stone, drill or string a bead, and create a bracelet by hand, I'm participating in a tradition that reaches back tens of thousands of generations. 🌍

That's what Where Stone Meets Soul means to me.
Tonight, I'm playing with some raw, earthy stones and letting that ancient connection inspire what comes next. 🍂🖤

🚀 A little inspiration from NASA… 🌎✨

I spotted this bracelet at the NASA gift shop and immediately thought, hmmm… I could do something with that. 😉

I love finding inspiration in unexpected places — especially when it involves stones, beads, cord and a little creativity.

It got me thinking about how many different ways there are to turn something as simple as a bracelet into a story. 🌙🪐

So tell me… would you wear a Solar System-inspired bracelet? 🌌

Hello family and friends! 🌾

Stepped outside this evening and the light was doing that thing it does right before the sun drops — everything gold for about ten minutes, then gone.
Reminded me why I keep a jar of rocks on my windowsill... every one of them was picked up on some ordinary walk that turned out to be worth remembering.

Hope your Wednesday had a little gold light in it too. 💛

Hello Family and friends

Small business reality check: 😂

Sometimes you spend an hour making something…

…and Facebook responds with crickets. 🦗

No likes.
Not even somebody accidentally hitting the button. 😂

But you make it anyway.

Because somewhere out there is someone who will see a little handmade piece and think, “Yep. That's the one.”

So I'll keep making things I love, trying new ideas, and figuring out what Ridge & Stone is becoming.

Thanks to the ones who are here watching it all happen. 🤍

I wanted to give you a little peek behind the curtain tonight — this is what goes into every single Ridge & Stone Co. order before it heads out your way! From the muslin bag to the little tumbled stone tucked inside, every piece is packaged with so much care (and a whole lot of love). 🏔️

It's a small business, run by these two hands, but every order means the world to me. Thank you for supporting something so close to my heart. 🤎

🐾 A New Chapter for Rocky 🐾

This Sunday morning, Rocky is heading off on a brand-new adventure. ❤️

After serving as Ridge & Stone Co.’s official employee, trail scout, workshop supervisor, and all-around good boy, he’s joining my daughter, son-in-law, and teenage grandkids as part of their family.

He’ll have plenty of new trails to explore, rivers to discover, and adventures waiting for him around Glen Rose, Texas. 🏞️🐾

I’m going to miss this big goofy boy more than I can say, but knowing he’s going to be loved and have a family of his own makes letting him go a whole lot easier.

Go explore, Rocky. Go make some memories. You’ve got adventures waiting. ❤️

Hello family and friends! 🌿✨

Nature Notes: Born in the Ouachitas

I found this beauty in the Crystal Mountains of Arkansas, on a trip that ended at Crater of Diamonds State Park.
What you're looking at took millions of years to form — deep underground, silica-rich water moved slowly through cracks in sandstone and shale, and as conditions cooled, quartz crystallized out, molecule by molecule, growing point by point into these clusters.

Note the warm, iron-stained color at the base versus the clear points up top. That's mineral content changing as the crystal grew — a little timeline you can read with your eyes.

Arkansas's Ouachita Mountains are considered one of the best places in the world for crystal clarity like this. 🏔️

💬 Have you ever pulled something like this out of the ground yourself? Tell me about your best find!

A quiet night at Ridge & Stone tonight. ⛰️ 🪨

I’ve been a little under the weather the past couple of days, so I’m taking it easy tonight and giving myself permission to slow down. 😫

But I have a little happy news to share… 🌋

The Volcano Collection has officially found its new home. 🌋

One very special person purchased the entire collection last night, and that makes this one extra meaningful to me. It feels pretty special knowing these pieces will stay together. 🖤

Thank you for supporting Ridge & Stone and for giving my little creations a place in the world.

Tonight, I’m resting. Tomorrow, I’ll be back at the beads. 🌿🖤
