I’m loving the treasure-from-nature feel of this piece, like it’s a leaf borrowing the balance and asymmetry of a seashell. 🐚 The 24k keum-boo on the wider side adds color and contrast and bumps the sophistication up a notch. Champagne zircon, 18k gold dots. Available in my shop update, date still TBA.

Update time…
Ok, so I haven’t been posting a lot lately, and I have to be completely honest and admit that it’s in part because Instagram has me figured out. The algorithm knows what I can’t resist! Every time I open the app meaning to make a post like this one, I end up scrolling through the myriad other amazing art jewelers out there, sprinkled with a few other random reels of off-topic creator genius and animal videos. I’m getting the hang of tapping my own profile tab as soon as I open the app, before I see anything interesting. I’m also kind of avoiding IG until I am done with everything real-life that needs done, and that means I’ll go for days without opening it. Anyone else have to do this? 🫣

On the plus side, school finally started, so I should get back to normal productivity levels soon. My younger son’s sports schedule is a bear, though… it’s so hot here in Texas that they moved his practices to BEFORE school, in the dark. We have to get up at 5am (!) and that has been making me kind of useless until I finally wake up a few hours before school lets out. But he loves it, and it’s good for him, so I’m doing it. ❤️

All that to say, my website will eventually be updated, but it will be a while longer yet. I’m working on it slowly.

Threshold earrings — a leaf in a corner, and a touch of Art Nouveau on the back. Lab grown diamonds and 24k keum-boo. These will be in my August shop update. 🍃

I don’t know what it is about this petal shape, but the simplicity of the proportions and lines are just so pleasing to my eye. Dainty, curvy, detailed, elegant.

Back in May I decided to keep the first necklace I made like this. I wore it 24/7. I made two more to take to my last show, and they were such a hit that I ended up selling them, putting out my own necklace, and that sold too. I still have these orange sapphire earrings and plan to make more necklaces. They’ll all be in my next shop update (date still TBD; probably the end of August) — minus one for me!

Hand-drawn pattern etched/pressed on the front, and a real leaf impression on the back. Silver and 24k gold keum-boo.

Here is piece number 1 for my next shop update! 🎉 (Date still TBA.) This huge locket is one of the anchor pieces of my Threshold collection. It has a real magnolia leaf imprinted into the front of the piece, over which a dendritic agate on a heavily textured frame opens to reveal a hidden compartment for a photo or other small item. I’ve textured and pierced the surfaces to make the front of this piece a fragmented, chaotic yet beautiful organic specimen, possibly an ultra-magnification of parts of the tree in the collector’s quality dendritic agate. The back contrasts this with a delicate Art Nouveau pattern scribed into the silver, the indoor counterpart to the wild outdoors on the front. The handmade chain is made of different sizes of large round hammered links and a leaf-shaped puzzle clasp.

A large one-of-a-kind statement piece, this locket looks stunning worn with pretty much any solid-colored outfit.

Dendritic agate, Sterling and fine silver, 18k gold, 24k gold keum-boo.

In preparation for the festival, I spent a lot of time building a cohesive collection to embody the concepts and aesthetic direction I’d been subconsciously developing over the last few years. The Threshold collection dwells in the space where the indoors and the outdoors are both visible. It brings together human design and the natural world through texture, pattern, and form. The front of a piece might have organic texture and shape, while the inside or back might be ornamented with cultural artistic references (Art Deco/Nouveau patterns, for example). Or, you’ll see some nods to modern and contemporary art among the leaf imprints and torn, pierced edges. Each piece stands on the threshold between the indoors and the outdoors, the organic and the constructed, nature and culture.

This huge locket cuff was the biggest, most complex piece I made for the Threshold collection. I loved it so much I made it into one of the banners for my booth! It went home with someone at the festival, so it’s not for sale, but my next post will be a Threshold locket that WILL be available in my next online shop update.

Dendritic agate, zircon, lab diamond, sapphire, 18k gold, 24k gold keum-boo, sterling and fine silver.

I’m working hard on my Thresholds collection, and not really stopping to take photos yet, but I wanted to show you this pendant with a gorgeous dendritic agate — I just love how it turned out. Grandidierite hangs at the end of the chain extender, meant to hang down the back when worn. This is part of the collection I’m building for Cherry Creek, so it’s not for sale until after.

Here’s one of the new pieces from the collection I’m working on. Galaxy rhyolite and Montana sapphire, with keumboo, an elm leaf on the front, and a Bo leaf on the back.

Not for sale yet, but it will be in my July shop update if it comes back from Cherry Creek with me.

I just added this turquoise and garnet pendant to my shop.

I’m still working away like crazy on my new collection for Cherry Creek Arts… I’ll show you some more of the new pieces soon! (They won’t be available for purchase unless/until they come back from the show in July.)
