We are currently unable to purchase .999 odd weight, off brand, or spotted silver. We are also unable to purchase sterling silver in any form. We are not able to purchase 40% silver, silver War nickels, 80% silver Canadian coins, or any other World silver coins unless listed above.

Why are we only buying until 4pm Monday through Friday, and why can't we purchase on Saturday? Simply put, we are unable to hedge outside of those hours.

Scotsman Coin and Jewelry is still buying gold jewelry of all carats, but at reduced prices. The reason is that all of the major refineries that we sell the majority of the gold jewelry we buy to are either no longer buying or are no longer paying immediately. The refineries that are still buying are only paying at the time and price that the gold we send them is processed, which is currently over two months.

M-F 8-4.
SAT- 8-4, but no bullion buying or selling on Saturday, due to market volatility. At this time we are only able to buy and sell precious metals from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday.

Scotsman Temporarily Suspends Purchasing UPDATE:

At this time, we are temporarily unable to purchase gold, silver, and other precious metals with the exception of gold and silver jewelry and sterling silver flatware.

This pause is due to our secondary market partners reaching their current limits. While we wait for those balances to be paid down, we are unable to responsibly process additional purchases.

We want our customers to know that this decision is being made with everyone's best interest in mind. Our goal has always been--and remains--to offer the most competitive and fair pricing for your valuables. Rather than having to significantly reduce our purchase prices or changing our standards, we've chosen to pause purchases until we can resume business at the level of service and value you deserve and expect.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding, and we look forward to resuming purchases as soon as this temporary situation is resolved.

This pause, of course, does not change our selling practices. For those looking to make a precious metals purchase, we remain open for business.
