Simple logo suite + brand marks for and šŸ

One of my most favorite projects to date, Karly & I collaborated on these images for her rebrand, combining her two amazing companies into one- Fiskerdatter Farm.

Karly’s deep Norwegian roots, love for the sea, and passion for bees combined into these beautiful, hand drawn logos and brand stamps. I personally love folk art and rosemaling, so Karly’s ideas quickly came to life and I couldn’t be more pleased with how they came out.

I chose to showcase these designs in simple, black linework but will show you the deep, rich tones Karly chose for her color palette at a later time.

Magical honey label love for šŸÆ

I had sooo much fun creating these labels for Karly, and can’t wait to see her entire rebrand unfold in the coming weeks.

ā€œFiskerdatterā€ means ā€œfisherman’s daughterā€ in Norwegian. Karly’s father is a second-generation Norwegian commercial salmon fisherman out of Bristol Bay, Alaska, and she is his first and only daughter, the namesake of his boat, the Karly. This farm, this name, and this mark are how she honors him, her heritage, and the quiet strength of Scandinavian coastal culture.

We leaned into Norwegian rosemaling for the labels, and I absolutely love how they came out.

More to come with Fiskerdatter Farm!

Some cute new merch designs for the šŸ”ļø

When I initially met with the chamber to discuss their ideas for designs we agreed on a vintage, retro theme. Nostalgic Crested Butte for me brings to mind 1960s/70s family cars packed to the brim with camping gear, an old ski fence being taken over by wildflowers, and a felt pennant you’d hang in your rustic cabin.

Can’t wait to see these designs at the four way and around town!

Support small farms, not big pharma!

Our local farmers, ranchers, and gardens need our help more than ever. Buy local, organic, fresh food and keep our communities strong.

This design was created for a friend’s farm that is also struggling, a story I’ve heard over and over again from others in similar situations. I’ll include the link once they’re up and running for their merch offerings ā¤ļø

I’ll also be carrying something similar in my shop in the coming week as we get closer to summer market season. You can find my goods in front of between June-Sept šŸ”ļø

A little wedding love-

An ode to the mountain west 🐓

To steep mountains and rolling hills covered in wildflowers, to old wooden fences and sun-bleached skulls. So many images come to mind when I think of our mountain home, so I created a western-style collage for one of my oldest and dearest friend’s upcoming wedding, .stew ā™„ļø

Ain’t Dead Yet šŸ’€

A new series in the works…

I have always had an affinity with the weird, dark, and whimsical. I’ve collected skulls and specimens since a young age, and never met a rock or crystal I didn’t love.

In that vein, I will have a few different images in the Ain’t Dead Yet series. All of which will have a folk art, western twist (a new, and beloved style for me), with a bit of romanticism and humor.

Blessed Ostara, friends!

Today is The Spring Equinox (or Vernal Equinox) in the Northern Hemisphere, which means we bid farewell to winter (my favorite season ā„ļø), and say hello to spring 🌼! Ostara is a festival of renewal, fertility, and balance.

Celebrate today by going on a nature walk, crafting, and eating fresh greens, breads, spring sweets, and egg-centered dishes.

I hope you all enjoy your first taste of spring! Not to brag, but I saw a flower yesterday 😱

A little .cb love ā¤ļø

The wonderful Meg (owner of The Breadery in Crested Butte) approached me to design her two commemorative pieces to celebrate her success with her amazing (and delicious) restaurant. With one piece showcasing the beauty of her space in winter with holiday ornaments, handmade wreaths, and glowing lanterns, and the other embracing the summer sun, blooming flowers, and our CB famous townie bikes.

It was such a joy to get to switch mediums for a bit—I wanted these pieces to feel raw and hand-drawn by using charcoal and watercolor brushes blended together. Overall, it embodies everything Meg promotes—community connection, a timeliness menu and building, and a space to be enjoyed for all seasons of our lives.
