Almost 20 years ago Bob and David brought Silver Stag Knives to Corpus Christi after a trip thru Alaska. They’ve seen thousands of knives over the years but these stood out.
After returning home they reached out to Silver Stag and discovered that a team of only 10 or so people hand shaped, sharpened and leather crafted every single knife with USA steel and leather. We asked “Are the handles all real antlers? Where could you possible get all those sheds?” The owner replied that they buy them but also work with local Scouting Troops that gather them to raise funds. They offer 3 different steels including D2 stainless, high carbon tooled and Damascus.
Back then they offered a handful of blade shapes and a couple of antler types - now they have a full catalog of products! Their steel and leather are still sourced in the USA, the blades are still hand shaped/sharpened and the sheaths and scales/handles are unique to each knife.
Over the last 20 years the company has grown and you can now find their knives in Bass Pro Shops and other big outdoor stores which is fantastic - but we still carry several models you won’t find anywhere else!
