If you're heading to Port Aransas, Mustang Island, North Padre Island, or PINS today, Mother Nature has a little surprise waiting for you !

⚠️ Coastal flood advisory remains in effect until 4 AM Wednesday !

High tides could push water farther up the beach, flooding low-lying areas and making beach driving a little more interesting than you planned !

🚩 Moderate rip current risk today and tonight !

Don't let those pretty waves fool you ! Dangerous currents can pull swimmers away from shore, especially near piers and jetties.

🚙 Beach driving and camping

Keep an eye on that incoming tide ! If you're camping, pick a wide stretch of beach near the dunes, but stay out of the dune vegetation. Don't park where rising water can trap your vehicle.

If you're heading down PINS, remember that beach you drove down this morning might look completely different when you head back !

Never drive through saltwater, flooded roads, or around barricades.

🤣 I went fishing and caught a salad bar ! Now the Gulf is trying to steal the whole beach !

Good morning, Beach Bums ! If you thought yesterday's seagrass was bad, Mother Nature apparently ordered another truckload ! We've got fish hiding in the w**ds, fishing lines looking like Christmas trees, and a Coastal Flood Advisory tonight that could turn your beachfront campsite into waterfront property ! 🤣

🌊 Today's beach conditions

We're looking at surf around 3 feet, with offshore seas running 3 to 4 feet and occasional 5-footers. East winds around 10 to 15 mph, temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s, and water temperatures in the upper 70s.

Rip current risk is LOW !

🌿 The great seagrass invasion continues !

That green spaghetti is still causing trouble in the first and second guts and washing up along area beaches !

Yesterday I went fishing for pompano and reeled in enough seagrass to qualify for an agricultural tax exemption !

At this point, forget the bait and bring a w**d eater !

🚙 Beach driving conditions

Driving isn't too bad in some areas, but don't get too comfortable !

Those high tides are narrowing the beachfront, especially down Padre Island National Seashore. Keep an eye out for soft sand, washouts, and water creeping toward the dunes.

⚠️ Coastal flood advisory tonight !

Now Mother Nature has decided that having a beach isn't enough. She wants to put the whole thing underwater !

A Coastal Flood Advisory begins at 3 PM today and continues until midnight tonight !

Minor coastal flooding is expected, and water could reach the dunes in some locations.

🌊 Port Aransas high tide is around 5:57 PM !

If you're camping, find a wide section of beach and stay as far from the incoming water as safely possible. If you're driving down PINS, get back before that high tide rolls in !

🚙 Remember, that Jeep might have four-wheel drive, but it didn't come with a periscope !

Beautiful weather, decent water clarity, hungry fish, and enough seagrass to open a landscaping company !

Get out early, watch those tides, and don't let the Gulf turn your campsite into an aquarium !

🤣 Who else has reeled in more seagrass than fish this weekend ? I'm about ready to start charging these fish rent for living in my underwater garden !

🚙 HEADS UP, NATIONAL SEASHORE TRAVELERS !

High tide is expected at 5:38 PM, and with a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect from 3 PM until midnight tonight, that beachfront could disappear in a hurry !

⚠️ Don't wait until the Gulf is knocking on your Jeep door ! Head back well before high tide, watch for washouts, and stay out of that saltwater !

🌊 BEAUTIFUL DAY ON THE COAST, BUT THERE WAS ONE PESKY PROBLEM !

What a beautiful day out on the beach, Beach Bums !

The weather was nice and warm, and the water clarity was looking pretty darn good !

🌿 The biggest issue today was all that pesky seagrass washing up along the beach. Other than that, conditions were looking mighty fine !

🌊 And let me tell ya, that Gulf water sure is getting chilly ! You can definitely feel the difference when you step in !

All in all, another beautiful day in paradise here on the Texas coast !
