Jewelry Mine

Jewelry Mine We believe in the power of jewelry to spread joy and happiness, but to us, you are worth more than silver or gold.

We believe whether you are selling your jewelry or simply upgrading, you deserve to get the most value or cash for your trade-in. In today's economy it is often a good idea to upgrade by trading in your old jewelry instead of simply purchasing out right, that's where we can help. As both a buyer and seller of jewelry and coins, we understand that the value of a piece depends on what it means to th

e owner. Providing a fair and, at times generous, payment for a piece always brings us joy knowing we're able to help folks when they need it. You can also count on our diamonds typically being 1/3 the price of comparative diamonds at national chain stores. Some pieces are priceless, which is why we offer repair services too.

Day 29-Today is just Fun Day with some pictures. The first Picture is of Jeff's last Christmas Party, December 2020 with the store employees. They bought him a Santa Mug with a coffee cup, his two favorite things, Christmas and coffee. The next two pictures are of employee fun gift exchanges in 2020. The next three pictures are of Santa with Jeff, Kathy and Cyndi Budhisetiawan in 2009. Santa is Cyndi's husband, Budhi, such a wonderful couple. The next two pictures are of Karen Hill and Tammy Goode in 2001.Then comes a picture of Steve Russell and Michael Nwadiuko. Steve worked with us for a short period of time. Michael is a missionary from
Africa and has lived with us at different times and has been a prayer warrior for our store and family for many years. Then comes a picture of Jeff and I in 2017 and the last several pictures are of Jimmy Engels our repairman, manager and so much more.

Day 27-The first picture is of our granddaughter Maggie in Nov. 2019 helping clean the store showcases. The next picture is in 2020 of Jimmy and her walking to Sears to get something for the store. And the last picture is in 2021 Maggie teaching Jimmy how to play Chess. She started playing at 5. Our business is a Family business, not just blood relation. We do business at our store, but we also do life. Jeff and Jimmy had a good understanding of that. Over the years our family has grown and we have been quite blessed. In 2020 Covid hit and we were closed for 7 weeks due to not being an essential worker business. It could of been a scary time but it was a blessed time to spend with our families. God blessed and we made it through the year. In 2021 we were closed for 23 days due to Covid. All employees and most of their families caught Covid. There were 4 of us at the store and we all got very sick. Two of us were hospitalized and one of us passed 9-2-21, Jeff Padgett, one of the owners, my husband. It has been a hard year but we all can say we are still blessed. I am so thankful for the 24 years of marriage and business that we shared, just priceless. Jeff is in a better place and I have learned, it's not what you leave to someone, it's what you leave in them that is the most important. I am also thankful for the many employees that we have had over the years as well as all the loyal customers, without you all this business would not have been possible. This little store of ours is our mission field. May God bless each and every one of you.

Day 26-The first picture is of Gwen and John Chubirko with Jeff in 2018. They were two of our customers that not only bought jewelry from us but came by at times just to visit. Notice the next picture, read their shirts. The next picture is of our granddaughter, Maggie at the counter, helping by talking to the customers. She loved coming to work with Jeff, her PawPaw. The last two pictures are of the store Christmas 2018.

Day 23-In 2012 we did a special Event for Christmas. It was called the Twelve Days of Christmas. We partnered with CHICK-FIL-A. We also did a special Promotion with PHIDIPPIDES with a chance to win tickets to a Panther Football Game. The last picture is of stockings AIR BRUSH GROTTO made for us. We had one made for each one of the employees and hung them in our store during Christmas. I had some real special pictures of this Christmas but I have a couple of SD Cards that have been corrupted and I can't gain access to several years of pictures. Note: These Promotions were in the past and are no longer valid.

Day 22- 2010 we were in the Cabarrus Now Magazine. 2009 thru 2010 we did Gold Parties and Shows in different counties. I have put our Precious Metal Dealer Cards Picture up for Onslow County. As Time went on laws became stricter. We started out with having to get a permit for every county we did parties, which wasn't too bad. Then it went to every location you did a party, you had to get a permit. So we made the decision to just buy gold at our Store Location. We still buy Gold today, as well as Silver, Coins, Diamonds and Gem Stones. So come on by and visit whether it's to buy something or to sell something. We would love to see you even if it's just to say Hello. We are located near the Food Court in Carolina Mall. We are the second jewelry store on the right as you enter the door at the Food Court. Note: We no longer do Gold Parties, But still buy at out Store Location, JEWELRY MINE.

Day 20-September of 2006 we did a movie commercial at Carolina Mall Theatre. I have to share a story, we still laugh about it today. Jimmy our repairman was featured in the ad. He was sitting at his work bench. He always kept a hand towel screwed to his bench. Well his wife went to the movies so she could see the commercial and the first thing she saw was that towel. It was her brand new towel she had been looking for. Well needless to say she wasn't very happy. When Jimmy got home they had a little conversation to say the least. He was baffled that she even noticed that towel. LOL
In 2008 we partnered with G&G The Portrait Shop Wedding Fair,
we also participated in a special sale where we partnered with Village Fudge and Elements Salon & Day Spa. We offered packages as gifts for your Valentine. I have put a picture of the ad describing the sale. I think this was one of my favorite sales. Then we did the Joe Gibbs Racing 1st Annual Vendor Fair. And towards the end of the year was when we closed Silver Mine and opened Jewelry Mine.
