A Little Life Update ❤️
Hello, my fellow supporters, friends, and followers. ❤️
First, I want to apologize for being MIA these past few months. My family and I have been hit with some very difficult and very private circumstances, and during this season, I had to remind myself that family comes first. Always.
I love my little business more than I can put into words, and I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has supported Lovely Oddities, whether you purchased something, shared a post, stopped by my booth at a market, or simply cheered me on from the sidelines. You have all meant so much to me.
I also want to be a little vulnerable and talk about something that has become incredibly important to me: mental health.
After some very difficult life events in April, I tried to push through and keep moving forward. I kept telling myself that I just needed to be strong and that things would eventually get better. But eventually, I realized that pushing everything down wasn’t helping me heal. It led me to take a step back and have my own mental health evaluated, and I’m learning that taking care of yourself is not weakness. Sometimes, it is one of the strongest things you can do.
Life has a funny way of knocking you down just when you feel like you’re finally getting back on your feet. And unfortunately, last week, my little family was hit with another unexpected obstacle.
Right now, we’re holding each other together, but I’d be lying if I said we’re okay. Between medical bills, unexpected expenses, stress, and the emotional weight we’re carrying, there are a lot of things we’re trying to navigate. There is no handbook for mental health, family struggles, or figuring out what comes next. So for now, we’re taking it one day at a time.
With all of that being said, I am slowly finding my way back to Lovely Oddities. 🖤
I’ll be returning to markets little by little, but for the time being, I have taken down my website to cut back on expenses. I’ll also be lowering the prices on my jewelry in hopes of bringing in some additional sales to help with medical bills and some of the expenses ahead.
I honestly don’t know what the future of Lovely Oddities looks like right now. I may decide that after this year, it’s time to close this chapter and focus entirely on my family. Or maybe everything we’re going through will make us stronger and give me a new reason to keep creating.
I don’t have all the answers yet, and that’s okay.
What I do know is that I am incredibly thankful for the people I’ve met through this little business and for every bit of love and support you’ve shown me along the way. You’ve been part of this journey, and I will never take that for granted.
So if you see me at a market, come say hi. If you see something you like, your purchase means more than you know. And if all you can do is share a post or send some encouragement, that means something too. ❤️
Thank you for giving me the grace to step away when my family needed me most.
I’ll see you soon, friends. 🖤
With love,
Lovely Oddities🌈
