We will be hosting a League Challenge, the VERY FIRST ONE through OSU's OWN League!
We are so excited, here are all the details!
🏢It will take place July 15th, starting at 11:30 with Registration and Round 1 will kick off at 12:30. Located at the OSU Student Union in the Barbie Tootle Room (3rd Floor)
💰 Entry is $10 for Masters and $5 for Junior/Seniors. Payment will be done in person
🏆 Prizing will be Scarlet and Violet Base Set, as well as a Series 2 Pack for entry

Hello TCG Trainers! We know it has been a while, but we are BACK!

We are excited to announce the very first Buckeye Pokemon League Win A Box Tournament!

Here are all the details:

- 2 Booster Boxes of Pokemon Sword and Shield Silver Tempest worth of packs up for grabs for top placers!
- $15 Entry
- Standard format decks (SSH-CRZ)
- No Proxies
- February 18th, Check in/Registration starts at 12:00
- Ohio Union 1739 N High St, Columbus, OH 43210, Creative Arts Room (Located on the Lower Level)
- There are two Parking Garages, with a max fee of $10.25 for the day to park.

Greetings Trainers,

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, March 4th, from 7 PM to 10 PM. It will be located in the Barbie Tootle Room on the 3rd Floor of the Ohio Union. This week, we will be featuring our Pokémon Movie Night!

For our movie night, we shall be playing a Pokémon movie in the League’s collection! You can vote for which movie we watch by clicking the link here: https://www.strawpoll.me/19455826.

Voting will be open until Tuesday, March 3rd at 9 PM. Also, if you would like, feel free to bring your own games and some extra stuff to do while we watch!

The week after next, we shall not be having a meeting due to Spring Break. Meetings will resume the week after!

Greetings Trainers,

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 26th, from 7 PM to 10 PM. It will be located in the Round Meeting Room on the 3rd Floor of the Ohio Union. This week, we will be featuring our League Deck Tournament!

The League Deck Tournament is an Expanded format tournament that will require players to use a deck provided by the League, so don’t worry about bringing your own! We have a large selection of decks using different Pokémon and strategies, so be sure to pick the one that you feel is just right for you!

The week after next, we shall be hosting a Pokémon Movie Night. More details on that to come!

Other Announcements

Another Pokémon GO Community Day will be taking place on Saturday, February 22nd, from 11 AM - 2 PM local time, featuring Rhyhorn! Find and catch as many as you can, and maybe you’ll even come across a Shiny!

We will be giving out Pokémon TCG Promo cards at the next meeting. Come and update your collection!

Greetings Trainers,

Weekly Meeting Information

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 19th, from 7 PM to 10 PM. It will be located in the Great Hall Meeting Room 2 on the 1st Floor of the Ohio Union. This week, we will be featuring our Surprise Trade Tournament!

In the Surprise Trade Tournament, we will have each player battling against each other with Pokémon obtained through Surprise Trades at the meeting! Before the meeting, players should prepare for the tournament in two ways:

1.) Ensure your Nintendo Switch is registered on the campus wi-fi, “osuwireless”, as we will be trading with other players through the Internet. If you have not registered your device, click the following link to get started: https://slts.osu.edu/resnet/get-connected
2.) Prepare a free box with ten (10) Pokémon to use only for the Surprise Trades.

After the trades are completed, you will have some time to teach your new Pokémon TMs you already own before you are paired for the tournament!

The rules during the actual tournament will be as follows:
•Rounds will be best of one, bring 6, pick 4.
•Battles will be in Singles format
•Each round will last for 20 minutes
•All Pokemon will be set to Level 50
•No two Pokemon on a team can have an item of the same name

The week after next, we shall be hosting our League Deck Tournament. More details on that to come!

Another Pokémon GO Community Day will be taking place on Sunday, February 22nd, from 11 AM - 2 PM local time, featuring Rhyperior! Catch as many as you can, and maybe you’ll even come across a Shiny!

Remember to vote for your favorite Pokémon from each region for Pokémon of The Year! Simply search "Pokémon of the year" on Google and the vote will pop right up. Tonight is the last night to vote, as it ends on the 14th at 9 AM EST, so cast your final decisions now!

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 12th, from 7 PM to 10 PM. It will be located in the Round Meeting Room on the 3rd Floor of the Ohio Union. This week, we will be featuring our Board Game Night!

We will be playing Pokémon-themed and non-Pokémon themed board games! The League will be providing a few, but feel free to bring in whatever you feel like- board games, puzzles, card games, deck builders, and anything you feel would be fun to play together!

The week after next, we shall be hosting our Surprise Trade Tournament. More details on that to come!

Greetings Trainers,

Weekly Meeting Information

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 5th, from 7 PM to 10 PM. It will be located in the Milestone Room on the Lower Level of the Ohio Union. This week, we will be featuring our Max Raid Scavenger Hunt!

In the Max Raid Scavenger Hunt, you will need to search for and catch Pokémon from Max Raid Dens in Pokémon Sword and Shield that match certain listed criteria. Whoever can catch the most Raid Pokémon during the meeting that fill the list wins! The actual list won’t be released until the event starts and will provide a wide selection of Pokémon to catch, all while making you think a bit! A Pokémon can only fill one criterion each, but feel free to decide which criterion is fulfilled by which Pokémon you’ve caught to maximize your points! Besides your own Raids, generated naturally or through Wishing Pieces, feel free to try and join one on the Internet, or set up local communications and work together with others in the club (unless you want to keep all your raids to yourself)! However you do it, make sure you’re doing it quickly and still having fun!

The week after next, we shall be hosting our Board Game Night. More details on that to come!

Other Announcements

On Saturday, February 1st, we will be holding a TCG League Cup in the Ohio Union at 11 AM in the Student-Alumni Council Room on the second floor of the Ohio Union. Sign-ups begin at 10 AM.

On the same day, we will be holding a VGC Midseason Showdown at noon in the Maudine Cow Room in the lower level of the Ohio Union. Sign-ups begin at 11 AM.
