I'm excited to announce that my "Body & Soul Collection" has been selected for exhibition at The Latino Heritage Art Show and Festival. This collection showcases unique handcrafted designs featuring stainless chains, crystals, and gemstones. The highlighted design, Yemayá, was inspired by my trip to Cuba in 2023 with Artway Projects. These pieces will be featured at the 15th Havana Biennial’s “Shared Horizons” in 2024-2025 and displayed at the preview reception for the biennial at Brandt Roberts Gallery.

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase these pieces again during the Latino Heritage Art Show before they are sent to Havana, Cuba, next month. The design is dedicated to Yemayá, who is associated with Our Lady of Regla in the Afro-Cuban diaspora and is known as the mother of all and patron spirit of rivers and oceans in Cuban and Brazilian orisha religions.

This stunning design is made with stainless steel chains, freshwater pearls, mother-of-pearl, turquoise gemstones, and crystals, representing the qualities of Yemayá in a metaphysical and spiritual form.

I invite everyone to the closing of our Latino Heritage Month Celebration on Friday, October 18th, from 6 PM to 10 PM at Blockfort Gallery.
