Family fun and fresh scents at the Bluestem!

Our three ‘middles’ helping their daddy put wicks in the candle jars! They have a lot of fun doing this, and there was a lot of laughter and smiles when I went out there to capture this picture. Hands were flying and jars were rapidly getting their wicks glued in! All in preparation for making more of our clean scent soy candles for all of you!

Why did Bluestem get named “The Bluestem”?

Here is part of the answer… Bluestem is an actual native Missouri grass.

Sustainable Landscaping: Deep roots make them excellent for erosion control, xeriscapes, and rain gardens.

Aesthetics: Excellent for screening, mass plantings, or as architectural focal points.

Wildlife: They provide crucial cover and nesting sites for native birds (such as sparrows and meadowlarks) and host several butterfly species.

-Foliage shifts from green to deep purple-black for dramatic season-long color
-Tall, upright native grass adds privacy and strong vertical structure
-Drought tolerant, low maintenance, and resistant to deer and rabbits
