Today felt amazing. My booth was surrounded with happy humans picking up the garments I made. Some of them I loved, some of them I was slightly embarrassed by. But each one picked up by a human, an individual so uniquely different and one by one they slipped off the hangers. More than not making what I typically make in a season, are the choices I’ve made. Me. Nobody else. I was getting down. Super down. And today helped me remember what we’re here for. For the uplifting of others and sometimes the upliftment from others. The synergy required to feel fulfilled. I’m watching so many levels, so many energies we’ll call it, at play. Sometimes the not so great ones get me, they do…but I’m here. I’m made for this. I’m cut out for this. I came here for this. So if along the way I become distracted by all the things, I am not a victim. I came here to adapt in a world where we did not create the rules. So I have to adapt, pay the things I need to keep my little safe and protected but also seek, a new way of life. One without the constructs of evil. One with a single goal for love and actually, more than love..authenticity. Without judgement. We are first soul, with the blessing of limbs (if we’re lucky enough) to have what we want. To build while we are here🙏❤️🙏

Like so many of you, I’ve been praying for rain. But today I was reminded of something that shifted my

This short 3-minute clip from Gregg Braden tells the story of a Native American elder who was asked to pray for rain. Afterward, Greg asked him, “Why didn’t we pray for rain?” The elder smiled and said, “We did.”

He explained that they don’t pray for rain because praying for something implies it isn’t already there. Instead, they close their eyes and give thanks for the rain as if it’s already falling. They feel the cool drops on their skin, smell the fresh earth, hear the rain, and experience it with every one of their senses. They give thanks as though the prayer has already been answered.

That immediately brought to mind a teaching from the Gospel of Thomas and other ancient spiritual teachings about praying from faith rather than from fear—from gratitude rather than from lack.

I don’t pretend to have all the answers. But I do believe we are far more powerful than we’ve been taught. I believe we are not just flesh and bone having a human experience. We are spiritual beings, created in the image of God, and there is incredible power when hearts come together with love, faith, and gratitude.

There are people gathering in Pueblo this week to pray for rain. Whether you join them or simply take three minutes in your own home, I’d love to invite you to try something different.

Close your eyes.

Feel the rain on your face.
Smell the fresh air.
See the mountains being soaked.
Watch the smoke disappear.
See the firefighters smiling with relief.
Feel the gratitude in your heart as though it’s already happening.

Then simply say…

“Thank you.”

Maybe that’s how miracles begin.

If nothing else, you’ll spend three beautiful minutes sending love instead of fear into the world. And I think our world could use a little more of that right now.
