Today, we were delighted to receive some pictures and a “Thank You” from a wonderful client in Grimes County. After a couple of failed crops and a lot of frustration, she brought us in to consult with, and assist her with planting and getting her fruit orchard healthy and producing. In a short time her orchard is thriving! Here’s to (a LOT of) canning and many peach pies! Just in time for Summer 😊

It’s amazing how just one email can change the mood of your entire day. This is just what happened when I opened one up from a dear client, who I lovingly nickname “The Lorax” because of her love and fierce protection of trees. It is my hope that this lifts your mood as it did mine.

Our sweet client had been struggling over the last several years with what course of action to take for her beautiful Shumard Oak that had contracted Nectria Canker, and was in a poor state. For safety reasons, she made the painstaking decision that it was best to remove the tree, but wanted something to remember it by.

So, what did she do? She hired a very talented tree sculptor to create these cute little masterpieces. She kept one for her garden, and gave the others to her children as Christmas presents. She even had a little owl made for her husband. What wonderfully whimsical and witty gifts! I can just imagine the joy when these presents were opened. Not to waste, she is also preserving the root flare section with oil for a future table.

So, it is true: “It’s not about what it is, it’s about what it can become.” – Dr. Seuss, The Lorax.

We were excited to be chosen to work on Texas A&M's famous Century Tree! Well over 100 years old, this tree was one of the first trees planted on campus.

The work included the installation of a lightning protection system, as well as six brace posts.

Hopes are that with this effort, this beautiful and majestic Oak will be around to watch over many more years of marriage proposals.

Here are just a few pictures that were taken...

We recently learned that some department stores are selling fake distressed, muddy-looking jeans for up to $500 a pair.

Obviously, being in the Tree Care Industry, we found this to be a little too much. So, for a limited time only, we are offering to help you get the *real* distressed, muddy look for only a fraction of that cost.

The beauty of this deal? We will pay YOU to DIY. The catch? All you have to do is… work. It’s really that simple.

To begin acquiring your fashion statement, please go to our website and print out an application. It can either be scanned and emailed, faxed or mailed back to us.

If we hire you, you’ll be on your way to becoming the next greatest fashion sensation!

Don’t be fooled by cheap pruning estimates. Improper pruning can leave your trees unhealthy and in poor condition.

Unfortunately, not all tree companies practice proper pruning techniques. Poor pruning by cutting the wrong branches or too many branches can cause structural and health problems for trees. Examples include trees that have been excessively thinned, lions-tailed (as seen in this photo), or topped.

A Board Certified Arborist will only recommend pruning trees to promote their health, maintain their natural form, and ensure safety in the long-term.
