So much straightness on my profile, gotta represent the curls loud + proud.


+ Somewhere along the line-in my mid twenties or so-I believed my curly hair was less professional than my hair straight. Like its 'unruly manner' reflected my ability to be taken seriously? Never wore it curly to job interviews. Had it straight on the day of my wedding.

Weird how these beliefs form.

I mean, God did in fact, give me curly hair. 💃

Here's to "straightening out" my 40s by looking more like how He created me to be.

(No I'm not quite there w no longer highlighting and letting all the grays out 😉 )

Oh, and to make this a jewelry post-jewelry rocks! And so do the rocks I use to make jewelry!

+ Druzy pieces are called "She's Interior" on the website. While there is some beauty of geodes seen on the outside, wait till you crack her open! I'd like to think I'm a geode in disguise 🥸

+ I have a few of my paternal grandmother's dresses. Wasn't afforded time + space for relationship, but I may have inherited my love for wears from her. I definitely would have relished in all her recollections. Where was she going when wearing these beauties? For whom did she excitedly get dress for? Was she kissed under a lamppost on a foggy damp night? Did she dance and sway the pleats of THIS dress until her feet could move no more? What music made her soul move? Did she say goodbye to a love one night or hello to a new in another? How about a lunch w the ladies? Oh I'm sure the white and red rose floral I have of hers was the star of the show a lunch date or two.
What will my grandchildren ponder when my beauties are in their hands? 💙
