Indigenous Legacy Arts of the Southwest

Indigenous Legacy Arts of the Southwest Indigenous Legacy Arts (ILA) is a formation of immense eclectic mediums, dating back before colonial immigration, that has endured and prevailed.

A platform not only for Indigenous artists to showcase their creations, and for collectors to add to their compilation, but also for the general public to view fine art, acquire special information and interact with a diversity of artists and individuals. The resiliency of technique and style has been kept alive through song, dance, story telling and teachings. Some of the crafts included are Jewe

lry, Pottery, Drawings and Weaponry. Though the mediums have evolved, many indigenous people do still employ it as their livelihood, relying on it for their sole income. It has also changed into Fine Arts, or a collector's items, where many people around the world covet them. ILA is a platform where Indigenous individuals can showcase their occupation, trade, skill, craft and artistry to the world. Individuals can interact on a personal level and speak their own stories. ILA advocates for the Indigenous crafter/artist by advertising & marketing their items, introducing them to potential customers, as well as keeping the craftsmanship unique and genuine. ILA also advocates for the buyer/customer by informing them of the craftsmanship done by Indigenous individuals and the natural materials being used. Bridging the gap between studio and client, the best way to help one another is by sharing our knowledge.
