Last week definitely gave us plenty of reasons to celebrate! 🎉
Congratulations to our Director of Tourism, Lauren Powell, on Visit Cleveland being named Destination Marketing Organization of the Year in the Up to $499,000 budget category at the 2026 Governor’s Conference on Tourism! We’re proud to have her on our Chamber team and excited to see that work recognized across Mississippi! 👏
Visit Cleveland is proud to be named Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) of the Year – Up to $499,000 by the Mississippi Tourism Association at the 2026 Governor’s Conference on Tourism!
With awards presented across four budget categories, we are honored to be recognized alongside other outstanding destination organizations, including Visit Jackson, Visit Starkville, and Visit Oxford.
This recognition is a proud moment for our small town and a testament to the impact Cleveland-Bolivar County is making in tourism across the state.
“Visit Cleveland demonstrates that great destination marketing is not defined by the size of a budget, but by how strategically resources are used to create impact. Their team has combined strong storytelling, thoughtful visitor engagement and meaningful partnerships to elevate Cleveland while also strengthening tourism across the Mississippi Delta. Their work reflects what today’s best destination organizations do so well: they market their community, build relationships, support experiences and continually find new ways to give visitors a reason to come and return,” said MTA Executive Director, Danielle Morgan.
We are grateful to the Mississippi Tourism Association for this recognition and for the work they do to strengthen tourism throughout our state. Most of all, we are thankful for the local businesses, attractions, partners, and community members who make Cleveland-Bolivar County a special place to experience! Mississippi Tourism Association
