After scouring the internet for places to sell my engagement ring, I tried my luck at Adler Jewelry Brokers. They had great reviews, and after researching, I realized a small, family operated business would be more trustworthy. I had previously tried a larger jewelry store (St. Pete) a few years back (I held on to the ring for bit), but quickly passed on that offer. Not only was the owner of that particular store rather pretentious, the offer was far from adequate. That whole experience was just plain uncomfortable and left me discouraged. Adler's, on the other hand, was a breath of fresh air. It's obvious the owner is passionate about his craft, and his genuine, calm demeanor put me at ease. He provided me with ample information on my ring and jewelry in general, and took his time with answering any/all questions I had. AND all of his assessment is done right in front of you -- there's no mystery to the current value of your gold or gems. You can see it firsthand. I felt instant relief as I left the store, and there was no doubt that I had made the right decision. Always do your research, but definitely make Adler Jewelry your first stop.
