CLARKDALE - The cheese shop that has been nestled in the middle of the block in downtown Clarkdale, Virgin Cheese, is closing its doors after five successful years of manufacturing, sampling and serving some of the best plant powered non-dairy organic vegan cheeses in the country.
Since no one is going to tell our story better than we are, let us tell you that after six years of producing the cheese solo in Las Vegas and then having Anthony join Jodi for the wild ride that has had us in the heart of the Verde Valley for 5 years, this is a welcome and timely change! 10+ years for a boutique manufacturing businesss!
The two best friends live 1.5 mi up the road on 5 acres that is demanding more of Jodi's time then can be accomplished while running a brick and mortar business and managing the blossoming Clarkdale Market.
A cottage license is very possible which supports manufacturing and sales in Arizona only, while a focus is maintained on building out their 5 acres into the Hopewell Mine High Desert Hideout, tents beds forts & fire, a modern day mining camp for what you're searching for…
The property, the last parcel in Clarkdale below the Jerome hills is being cultivated into a regenerative farm, a community cell, 30 trees in the ground, half of them fruit trees, and Jodi is starting out two young rescue mares under saddle and composting horse manure so that people will be able to grow food out of the high Sonoran clay for many years to come.
January will be their last month and closing inventory and keep an eye out in the event a pop up celebratory wine and cheese soirée shows up for the local favorites... stay tuned and watch this pair!
