Egyptians, First to Use an Object to Keep Time- They created obelisks out of stone and the shadows the obelisks produced allowed them to estimate time.

Watches Originally Designed for Women- Watches were originally meant to be a feminine fashion accessory. Up until WW1, men carried and used pocket watches, as they were viewed as more sophisticated and masculine.

Men Didn't Wear Watches Until WW1- Men started wearing watches because they discovered that watches could synchronize attacks to better defeat the enemy.

"Happy Time"- In many shops, most watches are set until 10 minutes past 10 or 10 minutes to 2:00, known as "Happy Time". The watch's dial and numbers look like a happy face, which projects a sense of positivity to customers.
