In 1986 I climbed American Crack at fortress wall. I fell in love with climbing instantly. Through the years I’ve noticed that rock climbers tend to be my favorite people. On Saturday Climb Time Oakley will host their Bloc Party climbing competition. I made this bracelet as part of the swag to be given out for that event but I didn’t want it to be a best climber who won it. I wanted the person who had the most heart and best attitude to win. You could be a beginner but if we see you being more awesome in kindness, heart, and having the grit to climb in front of people (who will probably be better than you) and have fun doing it, then you might win this bracelet that I forged from solid silver wire and would sell for 700.00

Made this for the showcase. This ring design I can make anywhere from 500 to 1100 without changing any of the metal weight or metal purity. This one in particular will sell for 825. It was 500, then I took a picture of it, got mad at myself for not seeing obvious craftsmanship issues. Then after I spent a proper amount of time on it, it was 675 and I took another picture of it and got even more mad at myself because more polishing needed and I so I spent more time on it. Now it’s 825 and I almost want to take out of the ohoto tent and take it to Cartier quality but seriously no one needs that level of polish and finish work on something they are going to wear all of the time,…or do they? lol

Ring number 2 of this design. 14k yellow gold. Natural diamonds and sapphire. A touch heavier and bigger than the first I love them equally although the prongs on this one are rather excellent.

Shield cut Montana sapphire in 14k yellow gold. The customer gave me a rather beautiful hand drawn sketch that I did my best to follow. Other than the dust all over the ring in the photo I’m super glad about how this turned out.

Platinum setting. 14k yellow gold mounting. A very very cool lab diamond. Yep I spent way more time on polishing the platinum (so I wouldn’t have to do photoshop) than I should have.

I start with a square 4mm solid bar 6 inches long of sterling silver. Then I do things to it

Each hand fabricated book took me 25 hours to make. The books themselves are 12mm x 7,4mm. The same proportion of a golden rectangle. They open up to reveal a message from mom and dad. The coolest part imo, and two days of my work life, went to making the “paper pages” from a piece of metal that was 1.3mm in width. There are 16 pages so each cut is 0.08mm from the next cut that was made with a very small chisel and completely freehand without use of dividers. 14k with natural ruby.
