From the bottom of my soapy heart, THANK YOU! Thank you for supporting me these last few years, shopping small, reaching out, for the new friendships, and just believing in me. I know Chippewa Falls is going through a weird transition in the downtown and I'm not sure what the future holds for it, but I've seen this community step up in the past, and I know it will happen again.

While this is my last day open in my brick and mortar, I'll be coming back strong online and in several wholesale locations! But first, a bit of a breather and a refocus. This entire time, I've maintained a full-time job, this business, a home, family, and everything in-between. If I had any advice to give after this experience, it would be this: Work isn't your purpose. It's easy to get caught up in the grind. Give yourself permission to slow down, step away, be present at your family's gatherings, enjoy that quiet morning, plan a night out with friends. Because soon you'll be XX years older and many of those important moments will have gone and you'll never get those back.

UPDATE: We have changed our closing date to Saturday, January 24th instead of Saturday, January 31st. That means we only have two more Saturdays remaining!

Finally, thank you for all your messages and comments of support. It has been amazing owning and operating a storefront in the same town I was born and raised in. Looking forward to the next chapter!

After years of incredible support, my storefront is officially having a closing sale. First and foremost, thank you. This community showed up for me again and again, and I will never take that lightly.

To be clear and quite frank, this closing is not because of a lack of support. Rising material costs and a construction situation that has been at a stand-still for over a year now in our basement, paired with no communication from the building owner, have made it impossible to safely cure and store my products/inventory. I can’t continue running a business in a space that’s been under construction for over a year with no progress. It’s unsanitary, and it has hurt my business.

That said, this is not the end. As we rebranded to Coleman & Peck to move beyond a soap-focused name and bring in more non-soap items, I’ve realized it’s time to return to what started it all. I’ll be dropping the Coleman & Peck name and going back to the tried and true Ope! It’s Soap brand, moving the business online, shifting into wholesale (already have a few new accounts!), and focusing solely on bar soaps. This will all be happening after a short break this spring and honestly, I’m excited about it.

Because of that, all bar soaps, candles, and other items I make by hand are not included in the sale and will be leaving with me for this next chapter.

Important notes: All sale purchases will be cash only as I am sending in my POS system. Please continue to show love to the few remaining small retail shops and restaurants in Chippewa. They truly need it now more than ever.

After a lot of thought and some long talks with friends and family, I’ve decided that January 2026 will be the final month for my storefront. Rising costs on imported ingredients needed for soap making, fewer shoppers downtown, and other challenges have all played a part in this decision. But more than that, I want more time with family, friends, pets, hobbies, and the space to simply relax and enjoy life a bit more instead of working it away.

After the storefront closes, I’ll be taking a little breather before diving back into soap making with a fresh sense of fun. As we move into 2026, I’ll be focusing mainly on soap, giving my website and social content more love, and doing wholesale again. The business isn’t ending. It’s shifting into something more sustainable and aligned with where I’m at in life.

I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has stopped in, supported the shop, and for all the friends I’ve made over the years. And a special thank you to those who have helped me keep this business going throughout its different stages.

I also want to say something that I don’t think we say to ourselves nearly enough. I am really proud of myself and what I’ve built. Running a brick and mortar location has taught me so much about business, community, resilience, and myself. I’ve done all of this while still working full time as a graphic artist, maintaining my properties, and caring for my family. It has been a lot, and it has also been incredibly rewarding.

A quick reminder. I am no longer selling gift cards, and if you have one, please try to use it by the end of December. My gift card system may need to be returned after that, even though I plan to stay open through January.
