This article from AKC is an informative read.
It is so interesting to me, as a breeder, how so many "breeders" knock breeders who don't "temperment" test their pups for optimal pairing capabilities. We, at SCSPoodles, do "test" our pups unofficially.....meaning:
1. We know our lines from multigenerational and selectively breeding our diverse lines together to produce consistency in temperments produced.
2. We observe our pups from birth, the 1st 4 weeks in our room, 4 to 8 weeks developing outdoor skills and growth, and 8 to 12 weeks of the additional 4 wk Foundation Training (extra cost).
3. We know what our families are looking for and the dynamics of their homes...lifestyle, children, adults)
Do we test our pups....yes we do, however that testing is not our primary source of knowing our pups.

PUP-DATE: Skyla's "POKEMON" Litter turned 4 Weeks old. Everyone got their first groom and went from furry puppy to little Poodle. Everyone did great. This is a VERY, VERY, calm litter. Confident and quiet seems to be their motto. No crying....literally NEVER. We have some silver pups too. More than likely all pups are either silver or blue. Each puppy profile has been updated with short notes which will be added to next week with that update. We have 1 Female and 2 Males remaining for deposit. Interested? This was a first for SCSPoodles! A White Mother produced an entire litter of 9 Dark pups. They will all be either Silver (like their Dad), Blue, or Black. We will know in another 2 weeks. It was a bit of a surprise since white/cream runs very strong on both sides of this litter. Genetics/Nature sure likes to surprise us.
