Pearson Handcrafted Jewelry & Art Welcome to our hand-crafted mineral creations page, the results of the fun we have finding, collecting, cutting, polishing, and creating wearable rock art.

We are a Northern California rockhounding family. For many years, everywhere we went, we'd come home with pockets and bags full of rocks, storing them in bags and boxes. We have graduated to five-gallon buckets loaded with Mother Earth's treasures and a collection of lapidary equipment and silversmithing tools. Our passion for the beauty of crystals and minerals continues to expand as we learn new

Daylight photo outside. Thank goodness for a cloudy day! Photography outside is ideal, but capturing images of shiny objects in the sun is painful!

I'm loving how this turned out. With the holiday weekend, I had some focused time to apply to the project and gain momentum on the fabrication process. All too often there's a large gap in time at the bench, and I forget what I was doing and challenges I was working through. Loving my new studio space!

A satisfying day of organizing! The drawer of bags and bits has been boxed and labeled and will be readily available at my fingertips! Cabochon drawers are labeled too. No, many aren't completely straight, but I'm not OCD and just needed to get it DONE. Between Todd and I, we put our label maker through its paces!

The colorful boxes are photo storage boxes that I've had for many years. Not my original idea, many jewelry makers are using them in their studios, and it looked like a great idea!

Experiment complete! Saw this on an actress in a movie. Does anyone else pause a movie so they can deconstruct a piece of jewelry? 🤣 Paperclip links with knife-edge texture on the joining rings. SO MANY solder joints! I'm not impressed with the color of copper paste solder, but it certainly makes the job easier.

I've been keeping a secret. 😊 A very special, wonderful secret. My husband has been building me a studio. This amazing man has worked every day off and every spare moment since November. Todd and a few skilled friends built an amazing shop for the two of us. This is my half. He'll be finishing his side next.

I moved in today! Today begins an incredible adventure of figuring out this space, a space all my own! Room to design and fabricate. Climate controlled! No more freezing or roasting while doing lapidary. Let the adventure begin!
