Today we’re saying goodbye to Angie Hines, our formidable VP of Operations, as she retires and moves back home to the bayou (Shreveport, LA) with her husband, Pete, and puppy, Gidget.

Angie has been a guiding light at Rebel Hospitality for 20 years - first, as a GM for two of our hotels, and for the last several years at corporate in Chicago. She has been the sanity in a sometimes insane industry, the truth teller, the soothe sayer, a revered colleague, and friend. Her presence in our corporate office and our hotels will be profoundly missed, but she leaves each and every one of us with an indelible mark -

We are all better hoteliers, and humans, because of Angie.

Thank you for being our Rebel with LOTS of causes… we wish you all the best in your new life of Mint Juleps and June bugs. Ya’ll come back and see us now, ya’ hear?

Romeo Garcia was that unicorn you only had to meet once, to remember him forever and we're going to miss him deeply on this earth, but fortunately, for friends and collegues, he left us with an abundance of stories to cherish and share. Ah, Romeo - his heart was filled with infinate kindness, he lavished in joy, and his energy . . . it was boundless. He could also make you laugh 'til you cried - and there are few gifts greater than that.

It makes us smile to know there are thousands of dana hotel guests around the world who will forever start a story with . . . "I once had the most amazing concierge named Romeo . . . " like we said. Idelible.

You were an enchanting human, Romeo, and we are forever grateful for our time. We wish you a peaceful, powerful journey. ❤️

“Taco Bell’s iconic Crunchwrap Supreme is getting remixed by Phoenix’s very own chef Lawrence Smith of nationally recognized Downtown Phoenix restaurant, Chilte. Smith was one of three chefs who were selected to be part of the inaugural program called TBX, which was launched by Taco Bell to support emerging culinary talent across the country.”
