This is it: These are the only photos I got from this past weekend out at the Lucketts Store Fall Market in Berryville. These are the only photos I snapped, even though I was supported by two very special friends Kelly McCants and JUNE CHAN | ART & STUFF , even though I was surrounded by amazing and beautiful art installations, even though I was visited by the most thoughtful customers, even though there were hundreds of hugs with folks that I was so happy to see! With all the beauty, with all the sales, with all the laughs, there just wasn’t a chance to break away to snap photos!

*Thank you* can barely touch my level of gratefulness. It is an absolute honor to have so many folks take the time to look at and to try on my work. There were many familiar faces, some very special old friends, and lots of cheery new friends who I can’t wait to see next time!

Some of you found the special little surprises that I had tucked around my booth, and that was super fun for me! Maybe a little poetry pill, or a tiny mixed media letter, or a needle felted mushroom was gifted to you? If so, I thank you for allowing me to indulge in such joy!

My work will be out at Hillary Tattersall in a few weeks, and I look forward to seeing all the Lucketts faithful out at the spring market next May! In the meantime, if I can be of assistance, reach out anytime (especially if you want to travel with and do some classes with me!😉).

I’ve been working on a new batch of these Saltwater Mermaid necklaces! They are the longest necklace I’ve ever made at 42”, but that makes them perfect for wrapping multiple times and means there are *five* different ways to style this piece! At Lucketts Store fair this weekend I’m going to have two additional necklaces that pair with this so you can mix and match the whole set. If you swipe, you can see how it looks all together. Down to the last days of prep for Lucketts Store Vintage Fall market in Berryville, Va! Today I’m doing finishing work and packing all the jewelry. Tomorrow it’s packing the props and linens, then it will be time to get on the road!

I make special pieces for every show and for this one I have a delicious collection of cream, ivory, and mother of pearl pieces with just enough sparkle and crystal shine to give your mood a little boost through the cozy months.

You’ll find Winter Whites with pops of warm gold, and I’m always staying true to my watery shades of blues and greens - that’s what you will find out at the Twist Style shop at Lucketts!

Look for the flowers and the fancy mannequins to find me. I’ll post my exact location as soon as I reach the fairgrounds. Hope to see you out there!

It is time for the garden to start rolling back - but I can still pet the bumbles! The milkweed has died off, the roses are fading, most of the zinnias and cosmos have lost their petal, but there are still a few bloomers and garden visitors to entertain me. The last of the forget-me-nots are blooming, the rudbeckia still have lots of flowers, the limelight hydrangeas with their giant flower heads have not dropped all their petals yet, and the aster is a sea of purple and orange in our backyard.
Asters are not my most favorite flower, but I love that they provide a last little sip for the pollinators before they journey to warmer areas or hide away for the winter. We’ve had lots of monarchs visiting the last couple of days, and today I got to do my favorite thing; pet the fuzzy bumblebees!
Also, the buckeye butterflies are everywhere right now and I’ll be so sad when they are gone!
I *AM * getting Twist Style jewelry ready for the Lucketts Store show next week, but am very much enjoying a slower day today before beginning to share all the favorite new designs I’ll be bringing to Berryville, VA next week!

Wow, you guys! This The Country Living Fair has been a whirlwind of happiness! I always hang my hopes on my work- will folks like what I dreamed up hanging out in my studio playing with beads?? Today I got the answer as I was honored to see many lovely, incredibly kind folks interact with my work by trying on pieces, helping friends pick out earrings, and choosing presents for people they love. AND to add to all that goodness , I got to see a whole bunch of amazing people I haven’t seen in ages! Hydrangea Home Dawn and Fred, it’s never quite enough time with you guys! Melissa Caughey Melissa, I loved going grey with you and getting catch up a bit - and meet your beautiful girl⭐️ kay morrison you and Rene made my day and I wish I had more time so I could crash your party and paint and shop with you two!! One more day!

Twist Style Booth in Barn 29 The Country Living Fair Swipe to see how we started! It’s a labor of love that starts many months out with designing and hand-crafting every. single. piece. Then the tagging and packing, the long long drive upstate, the hauling of heavy things so we can prettily display the tiny little things… and P**F! It’s a proper shop that just happens to be hanging out in barn this weekend. I’d love if you can make it to see this wonderful event in person.

I literally agonize over this part because I want it to be a perfect expression of my work. I might be a tad uptight during this stage. 😬

The placement of every table is so important - for light, for the flow of people coming through, and for us to have a place to hide away all the messy bits.

Piles on piles on piles. And only I know where anything is.

Could not do this part without my husband doing the lifting - I’ve tossed out my back a few times at this stage right here and that is NO way to start a show. Thank goodness for all the helpers in this endeavor! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The new season has me thinking about the last season as I haven’t shared very much lately.

The summer was spent with a bit of travel and a bit of unexpected hospital drama (for a family member).

We had visits with our littlest ones and visits from a menagerie of monarchs who found our milkweed garden and told all their friends. In between swimming and tracking the chrysalis and tending the flowers, we took time to just sit quietly.

Make no mistake, my hands are always at work! But I did the work quietly in the backyard and on the deck surrounded by butterflies and flowers and I honestly believe that when you put on one of my necklaces, you will feel that.

hope these little portals will transport you to a quiet moment, and that you’ll remember that two hands created this piece that you now wear. And I hope that maybe somehow, in some way, it will bring you a little bit of the peace and joy I brought to making it.
