Oh, how I have waited for this day! I spent many years doing fairs with and visiting so many lovely cities. It was rather heartbreaking to lose the show since Covid and I am overjoyed that the magazine is bringing it back!

This homecoming event is scheduled for the first weekend of October in Rhinebeck, New York! Everyone’s fingers are crossed that we will be reconnecting with all the other host cities in the future!

I have met so many amazing folks including clients and vendors that have become wonderful friends, and I’m just so excited to see everyone again!

I finally feel like this nature shrine is complete! I started with the tiny mixed media plaques and shrine which led to a boat and ocean theme, which then led to my sculpting and creating the ocean fae doll whom sits atop the display!

There are lots of hidden details and interactive bits,so if you ever get to see this collection in person, you can see the boats bobbing on the waves and open the treasure box to see what is hidden in side. Even the ocean fairy herself holds a secret you can discover. I have a new collection of shrines on my work table right now, and I’m hoping to share those soon! 🐚

My love of seashells started very early in life. I grew up near the ocean and have had piles of shells on my bedside table nearly all my life.

The colors, patterns, and textures are so varied and endlessly interesting. I love the way conch and snail shell have a beautiful, creamy white interior that transitions to a delicate pink shade. The most beautiful colors!

I tried to capture that combination in this pendant by layering pigment in seashell shades of cream and ivory and pink, layering in gold dust, and sprinkling it with little gold bubbles. This pendant makes me think of my grandmothers, both beach and shell lovers, and that makes it even more special to me.🐚

What a glorious weekend out at spring fair in Berryville, Virginia! So many people attended and my booth was full of smiling faces and kind words all weekend long. Friends came from afar to help me move tables, box up earrings, dress mannequins and run for coffee. Thank you x a million!

It takes me and my studio helpers days of prepping, days of packing, and days of set up to make a show happen. It is no small task and no small ask! My most sincere thanks to everyone that helped, and everyone that popped into my booth, even if it was for just a quick hello - I’m honored by all the lovely people who stepped in to check out my work! It was wonderful to see lots of familiar faces, get lots of hugs, and send lots of Twist Style jewelry off to new homes.

I’m so grateful that this gets be my job, and even more grateful that it has connected me to the such amazing folks! Thank you, thank you thank you!
