Why bring back the luxury of the Vanity? Luxury isn't a mass produced plaque that calls us "Boss Mom" or "Bad Bitch". It's something that elevates us, quietly makes us feel special; something no one can take away from us. Many of us grew up watching Mom or Grandma at the end of the day, sitting at the Vanity. Taking off makeup, putting away jewelry and enjoying their night time skin regiment. During sleepovers at my Grandmother's, she'd invite me to sit on the silk upholstered bench with her and I'd mill through her jewelry box and marvel at the wonderful crystal trinkets and mirrored trays laid out in front of me. The colors of creamy nail polish, lipstick in ornate tubes, bottles of lotions and her lingering perfume from the day. What a wonderful way to end and then start the day. How would you surround yourself in luxury today?
