About our Founder
Vibes is a jewelry line 100% designed and handmade in Charlotte, NC by our founder Alexandra Reed and her daughters. Inspired by her artist mother, Alexandra has been drawing and writing poetry from a very young age. She also loves oil painting, traveling and nature photography; passions that she has been able to instill in her two daughters Allie and Andrea.

Vibes first started as an idea 6 years ago when my artistic daughter, Allie, expressed an interest in having her own clothing and accessories line. There is nothing more frustrating for a single mother than seeing your child's dreams and aspirations being wiped away by circumstances out of your control. However, with a strong belief that those circumstances were temporary, an inner passion for conservation, art and creativity; we persevered and overcame our struggles. We are a family of self-taught artists, dreamers, life lovers and spiritual beings who love others, animals and our planet. We wake up every morning with the intention to create, to learn, to inspire and to give. We go to bed with gratitude for the support we receive and for the opportunity to put the essence of ourselves into the pieces we create. Our mission is to Make a Difference Through Creativity! With the limitations of a small family business that is just getting started, we personally designed the logo, built and maintain the website, design and hand-make the pieces, take the pictures with our phones, manage social media marketing and advertising, and the entire business operations! We are not yet were we want to be, but with the same determination and passion we've had for the past 6 years, we know we will get there! About Our Concept
We use natural gemstones for their metaphysical symbolism, healing properties and spiritual meaning. We also use natural seeds, natural and vegan leather, recycled wood and bone beads. Bone energies are of vitality, animal magnetism, and strength and often represents permanence beyond death, the earth and our truest, barest self. Our tags, labels, packaging and jewelry displays are made from 100% recycled, degradable and/or biodegradable materials. In addition, 10% of your purchase will be donated to Planet and Wildlife conservation projects! Some of the organizations we strive to support are the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) , The Nature Conservancy and Oceana
We support local business like us! We buy ALL our supplies from local artisans, craftsmen and wholesalers. We support artists in developing countries! We buy directly from local artisans in Nicaragua to practice Fair Trade principles that ensure that they are fairly compensated for the creations they make. Our purchase helps their families fight poverty and allow their children to go to school. The pieces are made with high quality materials, and are carefully selected for their unique designs available in an array of festive colors and creative styles.
