In a somewhat last-minute addition, Red Ember Forge and Lydia Puddicombe (original carved illustrations on board) will be sharing a tent at ONE of the Urbana, IL Night Markets - the night of Thursday, September 17th*. The tent will be lit! The taillight on my fender display will be ON! And I’ll be selling my hand forged silver jewelry. [ *if there is rain the forecast that night, the night market will be canceled and that call will be made at 2:00 the day of the sale - if that happens, I’ll post it here ] Food trucks, live music, and ART. Come see us!

Downtown comes alive next Thursday evening – and all Thursday evenings in September – as the Urbana Night Market returns to Lincoln Square for its third consecutive year, bringing together local food vendors, artists, makers, musicians and community members for an evening celebration of local creativity and entrepreneurship.

Held every Thursday in September from 6 to 9 p.m., the Night Market transforms the parking lot at Lincoln Square Mall into a lively gathering place where visitors can shop locally, enjoy food and drinks, listen to live music and connect with the people who make Urbana’s small-business community unique.

The next in-person sale for me will be the Peoria Art Guild Sale, September 26th and 27th at Riverfront Festival Park, Peoria, Illinois. This one DOES have an entry fee (it's a fundraiser for the Guild), but the art there is worth it. Great skill and variety. I was blown away by the work of many of my fellow artists in my first year there last year. See you down by the river!

Today, Sunday, 10-4, The Crystal Lake Park Art Fair in Urbana, IL - come take a look. The quality here is is stellar and the variety is spectacular. Jewelry (silver, gemstones, colorful resin, chainmaille!!!), hand carved wooden animals, textiles, pottery, photography, woodturned bowls, painting...SO MUCH GOOD STUFF. The weather should be great today. Rain-free and cool. A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday in between the rain showers. It was great talking to all of you. THIS WEEKEND - August 1st and 2nd - rain or shine - 10 - 4 both days - The Crystal Lake Park Arts Fest in Urbana, Illinois.

I am in booth #36 which is WAY down the row of artists, the opposite end from where you enter, just past the playground.

I debuted these tumbled Sonoran Sunrise pendants earlier this spring, then decided to tumble the rest of the slab cut stones I had. This is the second and last edition for this stone. When they are gone, they’re gone.

I love Sonoran Sunrise for the very retro color combo of red and green/blue. These are the shapes the stones took after a week in the tumbler (which wears away approximately 65% of the mass of the stone that went into the tumbler). They feel great; very smooth and they have more of a satin finish than a high polish.

I created this collection with affordability in mind. I shaped the stones with the tumbler, drilled through them with a diamond bit drill, and created the hand-forged silver bails. The bails are riveted through the stones with a silver tube rivet. Each pendant comes with a 20” stainless steel rolled box chain with a lobster claw clasp that slides smoothly through the bail.

Whether you prefer a touch of color or a large statement, come take a look this weekend and choose your favorite size, color, and pattern. By the way, they’re completely reversible so if you like the stone’s pattern better on the reverse, you can wear it that way.

This weekend at the Crystal Lake Park Art Fair in Urbana, IL, a few speckled Campitos turquoise tumbled stone pendant experiments. And one rebel who decided to break while setting the rivet so it received an epoxy repair and a full silver bezel setting with a twisted wire bail. These come with a 20" stainless steel rolled box chain with lobster claw clasp that slides smoothly through the bail. See you this weekend!

These new Fordite pendants are bold and substantial, made with thick silver. Most have solid silver backs and are stamped with my hallmark and ".925" designating sterling silver. These are rugged, one of a kind, and unique. They are priced from $195 - $310. Come see them for the first time this weekend.
