A birthday tribute to a very special lady. ❤️

This Sunday, October 18th, my mom, Dorothy Gallun, would have celebrated her 107th birthday.

I love this picture of her, taken on her 95th birthday. Our dear friend Debra Rand Feldman hosted a surprise birthday party for her, surrounded by family and friends. And there she is, wearing her birthday crown like the queen she was!

If you knew my mom, you knew what a remarkable woman she was. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a twinkle in her eye, and a way of making people feel special.

She founded Gallun Fine Jewelry in 1950, but what she built was so much more than a jewelry business. She built friendships, relationships, and a legacy that I am incredibly proud to carry on.

I wish I could sit with her just one more time. To hear her laugh, listen to one of her stories, or simply enjoy being her daughter.

There are some people whose absence never gets easier, no matter how many years go by. My mom is one of those people.

So, since her birthday is Sunday, I thought we'd celebrate her all weekend long!

Happy Heavenly 107th Birthday, Mom! ❤️

I love you, I miss you, and I hope somewhere you're wearing that crown and having the time of your life!

And to those of you who knew Dorothy, I'd love it if you'd share a memory of her. Nothing would make me happier than hearing your stories. ❤️

Look who's back modeling for Gallun Fine Jewelry!

My daughter-in-law, Kate, was kind enough to play jewelry model for me again, and I couldn't resist showing off this fabulous turquoise necklace! There's just something about turquoise, isn't there? That gorgeous blue, the natural character of the stones, and the way it can make even a simple navy T-shirt look special! And I think Kate wears it beautifully!
