Hello everyone,

Life has been continuously pushing me down for a while now. I won't get into it all...but I'm exhausted, confused, and lost. More so than ever.

I've decided that, in an effort to reduce and simplify, that I will be putting my art on hiatus. I will not be applying for any future shows or markets, and custom orders are closed indefinitely.

To those few people with an open order: I'll be in touch still. I started a full-time job recently amongst all this, so I apologize for being slow. I also have a few events still coming up.

It hurts me to do this. Im following a impulsive, gut feeling and I think it's the right move. I need art to be a healing space right now, and that needs to flow naturally and as needed.

I will post all available pieces that I have left. If you are local to Laramie or Fort Collins I can drop them off, otherwise I can ship.

Everyone's support has been, and will continue to be, so heartwarming and appreciated. Thank you all so very much to those that have bought a piece, shared my stuff, or been an ear to talk to.

A fresh batch of leather-adorned claw clips~

I have 12 (6 large, 6 small) claw clips coming with me on Saturday to Downtown Laramie for Jubilee Days! They all have full-grain, real leather that's been hand stamped, burned, and painted.

Happy Pride everyone 🏳️‍🌈

The wind wasn't too intrusive until right at the end (so in love with my new homemade tent weights👌). And this was my favorite both setup yet!!

I had so many people come up that were wearing my jewlery, or have bought things in the past. I hope you all know how much it makes my day everytime 💙

Lots of new stuff today, and lots of sales! Thank you Laramie for supporting the arts 🕺 Had some lovely conversations, and lots of laughs.

"Peck of a Good Time" 🐔

I doodled up a poster design to celebrate the Summer and the upcoming festival that is Jubilee Days 🎡 It features some of my lil ladies so I naturally had to do a photoshoot with them and the poster.

Also I'm very excited to say that this design will be downtown for this year's round of Jubilee Days banners 🕺🏼🎉 I cannot wait to see all the art hanging from the light posts again!

You can snap up one of these posters at Grounds in Laramie, and I'll have some "special edition" prints available this weekend at Pride in the Park!

boy howdy the days need to slow the hell down 😩

I've been busy getting work done for a few different Pride shows/events. (Catch me this weekend, 6/15, in Laramie for Pride in the Park!)

These two pieces went off to for a lovely little coffee shop art show. I had a hell of a time deciding on what to present, and ultimately decided to make two of my popular designs (but like, more gay 🏳️‍🌈)

My thermals earrings and sagebrush earrings have both been adorned with a rainbow of copper-coated wire accents. I don't work in vibrant colors too often, but I wanted to have some pops of color in June 🎨

You can go and view (and purchase) these earrings and many other gorgeous works at Grounds. I'll also be dropping off stickers soon! (And double also, I have two other pieces there that I'll share in another post because I'm desperate to stretch content 🤷‍♀️)

Huge shoutout to for putting this together, and for being super rad in getting so much done around town for Pride Month!!

Here comes more long blocks of text, people. I provided some cute pictures of some of the gremlins that live here if you just want to bounce and scroll on (no shame if you do- love ya just the same)

Abywhooooo... what a past few days! I came out of the weekend feeling so many emotions. I felt like crap mid-day on Saturday, so I couldn't stay long at the .gallery.art reception :( But boy, I absolutely love the collection of art that has gathered there. Please go check it out if you haven't already. My piece, "hangintherecatposter.jpg" is amongst them, and I loved getting to see her again.

I keep wanting to elaborate on the meaning behind this piece, but I don't think I will (at least not yet). If you do feel some thoughts/feelings/emotions/ideas come up when you see it, I would love to hear about it! I often miss the critique days for pieces back when I first took metalsmithing. Hearing what people notice and feel when they see your piece is very special. I loved getting feedback on the technical aspects of a piece, but I really took to heart what people felt a piece meant, and what words bubbled in their brain when they looked at it. So please know I'll always, always welcome and treasure these comments if you ever feel you're in a space to share 💙

I'm gearing up for Pride in the Park, as well as some other events and happenings coming up. I've been on the ole iPad more making some new designs and works, and the studio has some fun pieces cruising about.

I also did a "reclamation" of my studio space. This was a very private, intimate experience that I don't wish to write down and share via socials. But know that it was a beautiful process and that I'm feeling comfortable and safe in my studio again :)

I'm also eternally grateful for all these wonderful creatures surrounding me. They constantly bring me so much laughter and light. The lil poultry girlies are growing so rapidly, and Skrunt loves to nap next to their pen 🐱🐤

Had a lovely time in Lander, WY yesterday soaking up the perfect weather and sharing in good conversation~

A few older pieces close to my heart found a new home last night (like my sagebrush silk scarf, and the rooster earrings), as well as the sweet lil leaf ring I made recently 💙 Many other trinkets and stickers sold too, thank you Lander for supporting the arts! 🕺

I'm still finalizing my market schedule for the rest of the season, but you'll have a few more chances to catch me in person before winter returns again!

I had someone reach out for an order of three bespoke wind chimes for their family, and they shipped out yesterday!

The wind was actually too strong to get many good photos outside 🙃 but they sure made a lot of noise!

They mailed me traced hand prints of their grandchildren so I could add them to the chime pendulum. Each handprint has a plate stamped with the child's name, birthday, and the age they were when they traced their hand 🖐

All three were made with copper and pine, with steel chain holding it all together. I stained two with a black stain, and painted one with a beautiful blue milk paint.

This means I'm officially caught up on custom orders again 🕺I will be taking some time to just make pieces for upcoming markets, as well as finish some gallery pieces I want to create. So for now custom orders remain closed ✉

I've been working on new earring cards for my small stud earring pairs. They get lost on the regular size earring cards (and take up so much extra space) so I wanted to make some special ones~

"This design celebrates the beauty of both the community and the nature we have in Laramie. Just as many birds will come together to form flocks, so do we!

There’s an extra focus on celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in June, but Laramie is a welcoming place to come together year-round to find and form human connections.

There are 15 feathers in this design. 12 of them represent Pride flags within the LGBTQ+ community. The other 3 feathers each represent a local bird species you can see here in
Laramie during Pride Month: the American Crow, Common Nighthawk, and Northern Flicker (specifically, the Red-shafted form).

It’s not just birds of a feather flocking together, we have birds of all feathers finding commonality and coming together to foster a more inclusive and welcoming community for the future."

I've been spending long days in the studio finishing up custom orders and gearing up for market season. The weather is warming up, the birds are boinking, music is pumping, and my horses are playing out my window. 🌤🐦🐎
