Each piece is thoughtfully handcrafted by Cynthia Loewen, a local artist who overcomes a handicap of 95% blindness to create these beautiful designs. Every swirl and shape is carefully placed, to create unique art that stands out in any home or office. This art form is called quilling. During the late medieval period, monks used quills to create beautifully detailed illuminated manuscripts. Afterward, they would trim the pages, leaving thin strips of the precious paper. They would roll them around the quills to create decorative designs, which became the foundation of quilling. New artwork has just arrived at Goldcrafter’s Corner!!!!
