Second chances don’t just change lives—they build stronger communities.

During Second Chance Month, hosted its 3rd Annual Fair Chance Employment Symposium and Job Fair, welcoming hundreds of jobseekers and dozens of employers and partners united around one goal: expanding real opportunities for returning citizens.

Keynote speaker delivered a message that resonated deeply, pushing both employers and jobseekers to reflect:
“What does a second chance look like without a first chance?”

His words sparked a powerful call to action that energized the room and reinforced a shared commitment to change.

The day also brought moments worth celebrating—like seeing Sarah Tilahun step into an amazing new opportunity, a reminder of what’s possible when preparation meets access.

Above all, the event reflected the true spirit of WorkSource Montgomery: a community rooted in support, connection, and showing up for one another!
