Just wanted to introduce a very unusual piece. It is so cool, because you get two stones in one. Both are hydrated copper carbonates. Acidic water dissolves copper in the rock, and as it dries or cools, these minerals solidify into blue/green, often banded, crystalline forms. These are found in old copper mines in places like Utah and the Congo. Used for gemstone beads, cabochons, sculptures, and ornamental objects. Historically, it was used as a green paint pigment and eye shadow in ancient Egypt. Own a piece with history, let me know if you love it in the comments!
