Hello Colleen Colburn designs followers:

Let's get straight to it - I've been MIA because I was busy binge-watching Christmas movies to get inspiration, but seriously, I just needed a short break from creating textile paintings and jewelry designs.

Now, I'm back at the design table, and guess what? It's Christmas time... in May! That's right, I'm getting a head start on Christmas 2026, and I've got some fabulous new designs to share. You'll be thrilled to know that I'm working on four new Christmas towel designs that will also be used on painted ornaments. And, because kids love getting festive too, I'm expanding my painted clothing line for little ones.

But wait, there's more! We're venturing into painted leather wristlets - because we all need another purse/wristlet and all will be one of a kind!

I AM SO GIDDY! Are you? 😃

A Day of Gratitude and Renewal.

Sundays have always been a sacred day for me, a time to reflect on the past week and ignite inspiration for the next.

Today, I want to express heartfelt thanks to everyone at A Southern Marketplace who has supported my artistic endeavors, whether through purchases or kind words. Sharing my art with such a vibrant community fills my life with purpose.

Molly and April, your kindness and dedication are truly gifts to behold, and I'm grateful for all the hardworking individuals who make this community shine.

As I take a well-deserved rest today, I savor the beauty of life and all its wonders. Tomorrow, I'll return to my design table, fulfilled and ready to tackle orders and prepare for Christmas, which, for me, requires an early start given the intricate hand-painted details and dedicated time for each piece.
