A bit of an update post:

I'm still here but on a bit of a break. At the end of the summer last year I was diagnosed with colon cancer and had to undergo several surgeries, including a resection; a loss of part of my intestine. I've spent the last 6 months trying to get back on my feet but have had some small snags in recovery, and hit another one last week.
My wife has been trying to help me figure out how to keep things going, encouraging me and helping me pace myself, as well as how to make this easier. I love my small business and creating art that isn't the same ol' cookie cutter stuff you find at your big business stores that gives your home those office vibes. Unless you're into that kind of thing. Everyone's different.
But, I love making pieces that gives you a touch of different. And I hope to be back soon. I'd love to give a timeframe but it's very touch and go right now. As soon as we figure out more, I will be right back here to share. Thank you so much for your time, hanging in there, everything. See you all soon!

How annoying do people find it when I joke about my work being made by a local artist that turns out to be me? Or any of my speeches that sound like annoyingly repetitive catchphrases?
I would like to apologize for it all but I just learned I shouldn't.

My family and I were talking about how to make a website and how to make it a different feel than being on Etsy. Mostly, how can I prove that I'm a small business with items I make? How can I prove that I am an actual small business that is not the small businesses out there that turn out to be selling for a bigger company?
Because Etsy caught my eye as an idea but sites like that have many small-not-small businesses.
My makers mark is on the items I create. But I've seen other vendors put their mark on mass produced items.
Then it struck my wife during a period of insomnia what makes a small business authentic, that absolutely reassures the customer... The passion coming from the creator.

This is why I can't be sorry for those annoying speeches I repeat. I love my work. I love the hours I put in, and teaching my children. I love that we work together to come up with new ideas. You can catch me talking for hours about how passionate I am over my work. And this goes for any small business. The passion each creator has makes their work more special.

So to anyone who has supported me through the years, thank you. We will always appreciate it. I'm so grateful. Thank you.

McKinley Mall until 4-ish! Very tempting to go play with that duckclaw machine thing... But I'm there today! Over by the EG Tax place. But those glittery ducks though... 🤩

McKinley Mall today until about 4pm-ish! I think I like it there because as many malls are dying, it's been pretty neat watching the place trying to regrow, and not forget the little things, the small businesses, along the way. Besides, outdoor seasonal shopping may be great for that gorgeous holiday aesthetic but I like it here because it's decently warm and pretty dry. There's also Santa too! ...I really hope he knows how much I've being a good little boy this year. 🤔

Small Business Saturday! Come on out to the McKinley Mall if you want to spruce up your home with some stained glass art or ornaments for the holidays! Unlike big businesses, some small businesses make handmade unique pieces making no two pieces the exact same. Take my stained glass art for instance... Did you know that some have streaks or have texture to them? Acrylic "stained glass" pieces or big business glass pieces may look beautifully uniform and in some instances may be cheaper but you don't really get that unique touch with it, sadly. Some big places may even consider that "uniqueness" a defect, creating waste. So shop small this Saturday! McKinley Mall until 4pm-ish. And again, thank you very much for supporting us!
