PEACOCK EARRINGS are a beautiful pair of bird earrings available to purchase in our current Lisa & Scott Cylinder web shop show “FOR THE BIRDS”! These brightly colored avians are made in mixed metals with a rich blue enamel paint that feature an altered green celluloid guitar pick as a swinging tail! We love to incorporate different materials that create awe and curiosity, and these are especially wonderful. SPOTTED WOODPECKER PIN is part of our Lisa & Scott Cylinder web shop show “FOR THE BIRDS” and is a wonderful example of incorporating objects into our works! Each bird is made in mixed metals and fitted with a vintage maple domino that has been altered and carefully attached to bring not only a pattern to the piece, but special connection to a childhood game. We love finding objects to add to our designs- and this one is so beautiful and fun!! Featuring all bird selections from our 38 years of making- current, RARE, and vintage pins, earrings and necklaces all about BIRDS. This reboot of an early pin is called EARLY BIRD SPECIAL and is a classic Lisa & Scott Cylinder mash up of a camp coffee pot and a rooster- and is everything you need to get going in the morning!! 🐓☕️If you know our work- you know that the majority of of styles we’ve created are about birds. We can’t help ourselves, as they are our favorite creatures! And this time of year is the beginning of migration, both birds and people migrate to a warmer place, back to school or back to a regular routine. SLOW POKE PIN is just the right accessory for slow, hot and sultry days! We love finding creatures in our garden and in the woods when we are hiking. While not so great when on your edible plants, they always bring a smile and a reminder to take it slow - especially in the hot weather. This fabulous snail pin is completely fabricated from flat sheet and wire- not a small feat we assure you! Once soldered and cleaned, we add a beautiful blackened finish and then a delicious purple powder coating that to create some real attention. COFFEE RANCHERO PIN is part of our Lisa & Scott Cylinder web shop show “GARDEN PARTY” and is a fond memory of summer camping🏕️. Whether in the back yard, or out and about, summertime in the great outdoors is really where it’s at! Nothing beats laying on a picnic table at night in the glow of a fire and looking up at a sky full of stars and the feeling of floating. Hearing the hoots of owls, the night songs of insects and the crackling fire are some of the most humbling moments along with the constant flashing lightshow of millions of lightning bugs on a summer night. Ahhhhhh.
