We’re back 😭😭
After exactly two weeks of hackers having control of this account, with them sending THOUSANDS of messages to you guys, none that I can see were successful—thankfully, deleting four years of photos, then taking the extra step and permanently deleting them from the recently deleted folder…losing hundreds of followers and all around being awful…we were able to get a hold of IG and get back in.
To everyone who reported, engaged with the hackers trying to help, cussed them out, defended me, and contacted IG/Facebook…thank you. I’m just so glad this nightmare is OVER.
They were able to hack into the account because two factor authentication was turned off. We turned it off a few months ago when team members needed to have access while I was unable to monitor the codes coming in, and I forgot to turn it back on.
TURN YOUR ON! Please for the love, go check right now and make sure you have it on so this doesn’t happen to you.
We were so fortunate to be able to save this account, I was expecting the worst and it would be deleted—this was the best case scenario.
For the record, I will NEVER give away money through Instagram, I will NEVER ask for your Venmo, and I will literally never ever ever talk about freaking bitcoin.
