One of the strangest coincidences in watch history: Zodiac Watches and the Zodiac Killer share the same name, but they are completely unrelated. The Swiss watch brand was founded decades before the crimes and has no connection to them. It's an unusual piece of history that often surprises watch enthusiasts. At Gianello, we love uncovering the stories behind the watch world.

A large-scale look at a mechanical watch movement — where gears, springs, and intricate components work together in perfect synchronization. Seeing the movement up close is a reminder of just how much engineering exists inside a watch. At Gianello, we’re inspired by the craftsmanship behind mechanical timekeeping.

The Barclays Center has become more than just an arena — it’s one of the landmarks that helped reshape modern Brooklyn. Opened in 2012 in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, it brought sports, music, culture, and energy back into an area that continues to evolve every year.
Home to major concerts, championship moments, sold out crowds, and some of the biggest names in entertainment, Barclays quickly became one of New York City’s most important venues. From basketball games to world tours, it’s a place where thousands of people come together for moments they’ll remember long after the lights go out.
But beyond the events themselves, it’s the atmosphere around it that stands out. The rush before a game, the city lights reflecting off the arena at night, the sound of Brooklyn moving around it — it feels like a true part of theborough.
In a city full of iconic places, Barclays Center carved out its own lane by becoming a symbol of Brooklyn’s modern era while still carrying that unmistakable New York energy.

The Bronx-Whitestone Bridge isn’t just another NYC view it’s a piece of the city’s history that still plays a major role every single day.
Opened in 1939 for the 1939 New York World's Fair, the bridge was built to handle the massive flow of visitors traveling between the Bronx and Queens. At the time, it represented something bigger than just infrastructure it was about growth, connection, and the future of New York City. Designed as a suspension bridge stretching across the East River, it quickly became a key route for anyone moving through this part of the city.
Fast forward to today, and not much has changed in terms of its importance just the volume. Now carrying tens of thousands of vehicles daily, the Whitestone Bridge is one of the main arteries connecting the Bronx, Queens, and beyond. Whether it’s commuters heading into work, trucks moving goods, or people just trying to get across the city a little faster, this bridge keeps everything flowing.
It may not get the same attention as some of the more famous NYC landmarks, but that’s kind of the point. It’s not about being the centerpiece it’s about being essential. It’s the kind of place you cross without thinking, but rely on without realizing.
From a World’s Fair gateway to a daily lifeline, the Whitestone Bridge is a reminder that some of the most important parts of New York aren’t always the most talked about they’re the ones that keep the city moving.

Hopefully we’re finally done with the snow in New York and ready to move into spring. This shot from Flushing Meadows–Corona Park is a reminder of how much history sits in this city - the park was originally created for the 1939 New York World's Fair and later hosted the 1964 World’s Fair. Today it’s one of the most iconic parks in Queens, home to the Unisphere and some of the best skyline views in the borough.
