Wells and Jules Verne as a teen. He was pleasantly surprised to discover steampunk was the name of the genre, and that the genre he most liked was becoming very popular. He has loved art as long as he has loved science fiction, so it was natural that when he began crafting, he would end up making things steampunk. One thing lead to another. Michael displayed his creations at several local events.
Alex began looking at what steampunk items she could craft. She explored what she could do using her sewing expertise and love of working with mixed media. Mini top hats and teacup holsters were soon added to the Steam & Gears line. Now the two travel across the country to steampunk festivals and craft fairs with their jewelry, hats and accessories, and enjoy sharing their love of steampunk.
