Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! 🙋♂️
We've received a ton of inquiries and an equal amount of support over the last few days, so we just wanted to give everyone a quick update on a recent crazy event at our studio.
Last Wednesday, right after closing, I received a call from a local Brainerd police officer informing us that our storefront windows had been shattered. We were told that "a passing semi-truck carrying a large cement block had a chain snap off their truck", which ended up flying into our storefront, taking out the entire storefront glass in the process (among other damage). Also, the chain was left hanging off the remaining glass (as you can see in the photo).
After some quick temporary repairs and due diligence, we were able to verify that was the case with 100% certainty.
With that said, no one was hurt, no business was affected, and yes, we are still open and conducting business as usual. 😊
We absolutely appreciate everyone's concern and support. I appreciate the crew at the shop and family members who dropped everything to immediately come help, as well as Nathan at Gull Lake Glass, who was out the very next day to start the ball rolling with getting One Life looking shiny and new again!
I'm going to post a couple of videos for people who were interested, just because it's a pretty crazy-looking scene that we first arrived at.
*Another very important video I am going to post is the semi-truck that was responsible. Unfortunately, the video couldn't capture the plate, but you will be able to see it clearly, along with the cement block that the truck was carrying, and, of course, the missing chain, which we now are keeping as a souvenir. 😊 With that said, we need your help in identifying the truck and the driver. If anyone recognizes this truck, please contact me or the Brainerd Police Dept. with the info. My email is [email protected]
There might even be a reward (in cash or a tattoo) to the person if it leads to accurate information helping resolve this issue.
*I also want to say it was NOT intentional, NOT vandalism or anything nefarious. Just an unfortunate freak accident, so there is no hard feeling or ill will toward the driver; accidents happen, and we're glad no one was hurt.
Stay tuned; I will be posting two more videos over the weekend!
Once again, we appreciate everyone's support!

P.S. To also answer another question, no, we will not be having a 'go fund me' page. We got this! 💪
