Although there are all sorts of bezels out there (bezels are the part that frames the jewelry piece), I thought it would be better to design our own, in-house. Partly because I want to craft as much as I can on my own, and partly because the piece is so oddly shaped that there wouldn't be anything available to fit it properly. So we melted down our own pure fine silver to cast an ingot, which would then be sanded down and cut out to create the bezel. You can see the end result on the necklace I'm wearing in the pictures. It's simple and elegant so as not to overpower the inlaid design of the piece.
