As Lord Shiva contemplated on the the welfare of humanity, he cried tears of compassion. As these tears fell to the ground, they became the rudrakshas. Aum Rudraksha uses malas of of more uncommon size. The smaller rudraksha, the more rare and potent its energy is. A rudraksha is believed to impact different types of benefits according to the number of segments. These segments are called mukhis. W

e use only rudrakshas of 5 mukhis. It is believed they can destroy negative thought and grant the wearer peace of mind, clarity and purpose. Rudrakshas can have a very long life, known to last up to eight generations. They are considered sacred and must be treated with respect and care. They will naturally turn darker with your own body oil. They can be washed occasionally to remove dirt and dust. You can oil them with coconut or sandalwood oil to preserve them.
