Ancient seals are generally intaglio carvings that were used as signature stamps, or commemorative impressions. This lovely client wanted to turn them into exquisite earrings, making quite the jewelry statement. As usual, we said ‘yes’ and I personally designed every nuance of these pieces. We love the symmetry, the colors, and the asymmetrical alignment. They hang perfectly on the ear, and not too heavy! Her response? “I am over the moon!”. They looked so beautiful on her, and we were overwhelmed with emotion at such success on every level.

These pearls are endangered due to increased water temperatures and . It can take several years to grow pearls these sizes. They are formed in the , a black-lipped mollusk and there is a specific difference between saltwater and freshwater pearls. The nacre is said to have a luminous shine, and they are found in an incredible array of colors. It’s an honor to work with something so special and magical.
