The story behind Tori's ring!

Cameron and Tori came in for a custom engagement ring. They are originally from New York. Tori preferred a yellow diamond for her center stone and liked the look of a three stone ring. I asked her a few questions to get a good understanding of what she likes. I examined her hand structure and based on all the information, suggested a couple of fancy shapes including pear shaped diamonds. She chose a pear shaped diamond for her center stone.

For our next meeting, I searched for and brought in a few pear shaped diamonds in the lighter shade of yellow which were more suitable for her skin's undertones. They both came and got the opportunity to put each diamond one by one on her hand and then compare them all. She chose the more beautiful option.

Next, I sketched a few options for her side stones and she chose a colorless pear-shaped diamond. I sourced a few and they came in for our next meeting. We placed each pear-shaped option next to her yellow diamond and she chose her favorite pair.

The rest was going to be a surprise. Cameron let me know when he planned to pick up the ring. I completed it and he picked it up without Tori knowing. Later on, he surprised Tori by proposing with her dream ring.

Congratulations to Cameron and Tori! Thank you for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to create for you. I'm so happy I was a part of your celebration!

A special solitaire for Olivia!

🌟Story: Peter came in for a surprise engagement ring for Olivia. He knew she wanted a round brilliant cut diamond in a gold solitaire setting. He wanted the design of the ring to be interesting. I looked at Olivia's pictures to understand her hand structure and personal style. We both agreed a wider band would be more suitable for her.

For the next appointment, I brought several round brilliant cut diamonds for him to compare and choose from. He picked the biggest and rarest option. I sketched a wider band in proportion to the diamond and suggested my signature Flower Beads on the sides. It's a strong and refined look. He loved the suggestion and gave me the go ahead.

Peter was moving out of the state. After finishing the ring, I sent him a video of the ring and he loved it. Then I shipped it out to him. Later on, he surprised Oliva by proposing with her dream ring.

Congratulations to Peter and Olivia. Thank you for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to create for you and be part of this special moment in your lives.

A beautiful Marquise diamond and green sapphire surprise engagement ring for lovely Hannah!

🌟Story: Kylee contacted me because she wanted to create a custom engagement ring for her partner Hannah. This was going to be a surprise, which is my speciality! I asked to see pictures of Hannah to see what she looked like. I wanted to see her style, her finger structure, and get a good sense of her vibe.

Kylee knew Hannah wanted a marquise center stone with green sapphires incorporated in her setting.

Hannah’s left hand ring finger is tapered. If we put a marquise in the center it will balance nicely if we fill the sides with the 3 little green sapphires and then we pinch the band which will give a beautiful pop for her.

Once the ring was ready, Kylee proposed to Hannah. Hannah said she was so excited she couldn’t stop crying.

Congratulations to Kylee and Hannah! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to create for you.

Continuing yesterday's post on the Pad Sapphire engagement ring for Stacey, today I am showing her wedding band and Benjamin's, her now husband's, band.

For their wedding bands, Stacey wanted a matching band that would sit well next to her engagement ring and still look complete when worn alone. I suggested my sprinkled diamond band, which I can customize by adjusting the diamond positions to achieve a better fit. Stacey loved it, and they both agreed that having small diamonds set in the band would complete the look.

For Benjamin, I showed him a few men's band styles that would suit his hand and personal style, and he chose my signature Slope Down design in yellow gold.

Thank you again, Benjamin and Stacey, for letting me create for you.

A rare Padparadscha sapphire in a dreamy ring for lovely Stacey!

🌟Story: Stacey and Benjamin came in together for a custom engagement ring. Stacey wanted a peachy tone Padparadscha sapphire for her center stone. For the setting, she wanted a dreamy ring that incorporated different shapes of diamonds in a vine inspired design.

I first sourced two Pad sapphires for Stacey to choose from. Stacey picked a beautiful peach toned, oval sapphire. After the stone was picked, I sketched a few, very dreamy and original designs that incorporated vines, criss crosses and some with dragonflies. It was a difficult decision but Stacey picked her favorite one.

From here on it was going to be a surprise. So after the ring was completed, I only contacted Benjamin. He picked up the ring without Stacey knowing about it and later on surprised her in a very romantic way!

Congratulations to Stacey and Benjamin! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to create for you. It was a great challenge.

A beautiful bridal set for Maria!

🌟Story: Here’s Maria’s engagement ring which I created with a center emerald cut diamond on my signature illusion Shared Flower Bead band and its matching wedding band.

The effect of this illusion is that as the ring approaches the center section, it appears narrower than the sides. This gives a pop effect to the center stone.

The wedding band has the same effect. No matter how much you rotate it, the center will always appear narrower!

Thank you as always Maria, for giving me the opportunity to create for you!

The "Mystery" Marquise Diamond band for Maria!

🌟Story: Maria wanted a meaningful ring that celebrated her family and her anniversary. She preferred to have 5 diamonds to represent her three children, her husband and herself. This is intended to be the right-hand ring and she would stack with the wide gold band which I had handmade previously.

I sketched Marquise diamonds diagonally facing left, since the ring will be worn on the left hand. The mystery of these marquises lies in their movement!

You can wear it alone or stack it with a solid gold band.

Stay tuned for when I show Maria's engagement ring and wedding band.

Thank you for your patronage Maria. I always enjoy seeing you and creating for you. Wishing you an early Happy Mother's Day. Enjoy your rings ♥️

Celebrating May and Emiley's beautiful emerald and diamond ring!

🌟Story: Emiley came in by the recommendation of her friend, Susan, for whom I created a beautiful Asscher cut diamond ring. This was going to be a self purchase, a meaningful ring that celebrated Emiley's personal journey, as a mother, wife and career woman. She wanted an emerald center stone in a gold setting. She was open to the design of the ring.

I looked at her hand structure and personal style, and I asked her questions to fully understand what she wanted to express through her ring. Then I sketched a preliminary design and suggested leaving it open until she chooses her center stone.

For the second appointment, I brought several emeralds for Emiley to compare, and choose from. She picked the most beautiful Asscher-cut emerald. Then I started thinking about the design and once I was ready, she came in to see the options I had prepared. I suggested a textured gold band versus a smooth high polish look. I showed her different textures and she loved my signature "Coarse Linen Suit" texture. I love the texture of fabrics and for this design, I was inspired by the weave of a coarse linen and silk fabric. Since the texture has a structured look, I suggested putting Asscher cut diamonds for added pizzazz. I suggested the option of having either one larger Asscher-cut diamond or a few smaller Asscher diamonds on either side of the emerald. Emiley chose the look of a few smaller Asscher cut diamonds.

After I completed Emiley's ring, she came in and I got to see the expression on her face when she opened the box and slid the ring onto her finger!

Thank you, Emiley, for giving me the opportunity to create for you. Enjoy your ring and may life always surprise you with beautiful moments. Thank you, Susan, for recommending me to Emiley.

My take on wedding bands for a solitaire!

A narrow band on a solitaire engagement ring creates more contrast between the center stone's measurement and its band. In this case you can either wear a fitted wedding band or still enjoy a straight one. It's a personal preference.

Here are a few wedding bands Christine tried on. They all work! These are all my signature designs, which I then recreate according to the engagement ring's measurements and metal type. The band that Christine chose is the last one, which I'm showing it on my finger. It's the signature Flower Beads band. It has two options: flower beads next to each other or spaced apart with a bead. Either model creates a scalloped look, which is cohesive with the contrast between Christine's center stone and its band.

Which ever one you choose, it will work. My suggestion is to complement your engagement ring with a cohesive band that speaks to you!
