Ortega Jewelry Designs, founded in 2011, is inspired by the concept that jewelry is an extension of ones personality. I am a Boston-based jewelry designer that specializes in one-of-a-kind pieces and custom designs. After experiencing a demand for my design work due to exposure from fashion shows, local media, and vendor markets in Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York. I decided to shift my hobby of jewelry making into a passionate career. My collection made its grand premiere in it's first year for Boston Fashion Week 2011 in "Anomaly" for DH Studios Inc. "I had the amazing privilege of collaborating with designers and accessorizing all the models in the show!"
Since then, my designs have been seen on the Fashion Week runways of Boston for EXTRINSIC 2012, New York PLITZ 2012 with The Haute House Design Studio, Boston's Eco-Fashion GreenFest 2012, Latinista Fashion Week 2013 in NYC, EXTRINSIC2 for BFW 2013, Fashion Week Las Vegas 2014, and BFW 2014. I was extremely excited to unveil my latest capsule armor collection entitled "Mermaids and Sirens of the Sea" at my very first international debut at the 2014 FDC Young Designer Award Gala Collections Showcase in London, England. My designs have been published in Urban Aces, Probe, Let's Talk, Allezom International, Performer, 2013 Summer Cover of Visual Content Magazine, Fashion and Fame, a full spread in the 2013 Winter issue of Local Magazine, was seen in The Boston Globe, January 2014 Winter Edition of Dirty Water News, featured on Style It Up twice, Zymantas Luxury European Fashion News, Shimmer, Surreal Beauty and was recently seen in Potent Magazine. I am currently expanding my new armor capsule collection entitled “The Androgynous Siren” that will make it’s official debut April 2015 in NYC at the FDC Young Designer Awards Gala Collections Showcase.
