4th year vending at the Mad River Valley Craft Fair and I’m already counting down.

A few reasons I love this market so much:

There’s a farmer who spends the slow season as an artist. His winter farm scenes are incredible.

A 20 piece band plays music you can’t help but hum along to.

There’s a honey booth with a million flavors of honey sticks, just like when you were a kid.

After the fair, a swim in the river under the covered bridge and a creamee to cool off.

Waitsfield is quintessential Vermont: gorgeous, a robust sense of community everywhere you look, and always worth the trip (Mad Taco, I’m coming for you).

Two decades together. A peony season elopement. An emerald green dress. And earrings made just for her.

A few months ago, a longtime customer reached out. She was finally marrying her partner of 20 years, and she wanted something as meaningful as the day itself. She could’ve grabbed something quick from a big department store. Instead, she chose to work with a small business she loved.

We went back and forth on size, on whether to add beads, on what would catch the light against that emerald dress, until we landed on something she couldn’t stop smiling about. I mailed them off, and then these photos arrived. Pure joy. Pure love.

This is why custom work matters. It’s not always the fast option, or the easy one. But when you support a small business, you’re working with someone who cares whether you feel like you on the biggest day of your year.

And for us small business owners, that support isn’t abstract. It’s gas money. Groceries. New sneakers for our kids. It means everything.

Congratulations to a bride who waited 20 years and still glows like it was worth every second.

The Mythos Collection is officially complete. All five chapters are live on the site now, Fruit of the Sun, Daughters of the Earth, Eos, Pomona, and finally, The Garden Temple.

This collection took me somewhere new creatively. Instead of my usual flat brass pieces, I got to play with beads, gemstones, and a lot more dimension. Most of it was sourced on a trip to Arizona, hunting through stones and imagining what they’d become. I am already hoping for an excuse to go back.

One piece in this final chapter sat in my mind for over two years before it finally felt like the right time to make it real. That is a long time to hold onto an idea, and it feels really good to finally see it out in the world.

Vermont summers don’t last long, and lately I feel that in my bones.

Some days it’s river hair and little feet running through the grass with my kids and other days it’s hours in my studio trying to keep up with an order overflow I did NOT see coming (highest June sales yet, still pinching myself).

Turns out summer + fall are officially my busiest seasons now, which is wild to say out loud. A few months ago I was hoping for this. Now I’m living it - messy schedule, popsicle stained hands, kids tugging me toward the water while my brain is still doing inventory math.

I’m not complaining. I’m just... in it. Deep in the thick of building something I love, one bead at a time, while trying not to miss a single one of these fleeting golden days with my littles.
