From my beloved giant pumpkin & me, I’d like to say a giant thank you for supporting my October small batch release. I don’t think I will ever take your support of my work for granted. If I do I’ve gone cuckoo. I’m so grateful that you want to purchase from me, that you find meaning & symbolism & beauty in what I create.
As you have probably have already suspected, I really love gardening & growing flowers. I’ve never saved seeds before, but the other night I went out into my garden with lots of baggies & gathered up seeds from some of my favorite spent blooms. I’ve also been going out into my garden and crunching up dead flower heads & throwing the seeds where ever the wind blows them. And it’s made me stop & really think about the life cycle of my garden.
And I can’t help but think, or maybe just hope, that the jewelry I make has somewhat of a connection to the flowers I grow. I hope what I make is something that you find value in, something that you find beautiful. Maybe it holds a memory. Maybe it signifies a hard time or a sweet time that you’ve been through. And I hope that you are able & wanting to continue that cycle of beauty & meaning & connection by passing on your jewelry to your loved ones (a long ways down the road from now). That you enjoy your beautiful blooms while they’re with you & that one day you’ll toss those flower seeds into your garden for someone else you love to cherish.
