Coming back to Lawson State this weekend was a FULL CIRCLE moment for me. 🥹🤍
In 2018, I was a student there, walking around campus as my own walking billboard, promoting a business that I had started that same year. I was 18/19, figuring life out, going to class, and building something that had been heavy on my heart.
The girl who spent those hours in the computer lab editing her website after classes had THE RIGHT IDEA for what this would become. I believed in what I envisioned & I was willing to put the work in.
I started at Lawson as an Art major because creating has always been a huge part of who I am. Years later, I'm studying Computer Science – Business, and somehow it all connects. The creativity, the technology, the business, the designing, the building — it's all been pieces of the same person this entire time.
That's what made being back on this campus so significant for me.
I was coming back to a place where Luxiries was already being built.
The girl in these pictures wasn't waiting for permission. She wasn't “thinking about starting a business.” She HAD started it. She was already selling. Already creating. Already putting her name on something and figuring out how to make it bigger.
And now, years later, I walked back onto that same campus with Luxiries Archive — a brand that has evolved, expanded, and grown into something even bigger than what I envisioned at 18.
That's the part I keep thinking about.
How many versions of me have existed between these pictures and now?
Ms. Art.
The 4.0 student.
The tired girl in the computer lab.
The jewelry lady walking around campus.
The entrepreneur.
The artist.
The Don.
The Computer Science–Business student.
None of them were separate.
They were all building me...
You have to physically return to where you started to really see how much you've built since then.
2018 me had the vision.
2026 me has the receipts. 💎
I'm grateful for every version of me that kept going.
